Original Carry Case that has seen better days but protects the synth nicely!

I am selling as “for parts or not working” as the headphone out is quiet and the synth did not initially hold patches until I changed the internal battery.

” Korg DW 8000 Synthesizer — fires up, makes some great sounds, and is sold as is. It’s about 30 years old and has some dings and scratches, given it’s age (the small plastic knob is missing from the top of the pitch-bend), which can be found in the pictures. (If a note sticks/doesn’t release, press the key that triggered the note harder to release — contacts probably need to be cleaned.) Similar to my DW 6000, I love the way it sounds but I need to make space at home.”

“It powers up and seems to be working fine. I don’t know a lot about synthesizers but I got it to create a variety of sounds with no problem. Comes with power supply and manuals. Needs a little dusting. Keys are slightly discolored but, other than that, it’s in good physical and electronic condition. Guaranteed to work when it arrives. ”
“This is a hard to find Yamaha DX5 synthesizer. This one is in excellent condition, it’s been fully tested and everything works flawlessly. Has a new internal battery installed and I’ve loaded all the original factory sounds back into it. Only flaw is there’s an area on the left side of the front panel that is slightly blotchy in color (see pic #2). This will be extremely well packed and shipped in a solid wood crate to insure its safety in transit.”

The OB-1 does not sound like a SEM, and it does not sound like one of their later polys–it has it’s own distinct sound and power that rivals any other monosynth from that era. Take the girth of an Octave Cat A-Rev. and apply some Oberheim filter flavor and you have an idea of what this sounds like.
