Rare vintage synth known for it’s hybrid analog/digital/sampling syntheses. Floppy Disks include Fairlight Vocals, Fairlight Orchestra, Ultimate Piano, Synclav, Mini-Moog, and more.

Nice clear display. All buttons, sliders, keys, inputs and outputs are clean and functioning properly. Has small crack, minor cosmetic imperfection on the left end plastic piece, see photos. Does not affect function.”

Power supply cable is vintage one,I could not find it and I used the improvised one just to test the Korg.
220 Volts.

Need some care and cleaning.
I tested this keyboard / sampler to see how it works.
I sampled the sound from Roland xp60.
Sampling works fine.
Sound engine is ok.
Really nice vintage sound.
Two keys on the keyboard are sticky and one key has no contact.
I have no disks so I could not test the disk drive.

It used to work fine and was in great shape until FedEx abused and destroyed it in mishandling. The keys are all smashed down and loose now. It’s officially a doorstop, maybe you can have it repaired and restored to life again. “Korg DW-8000 Vintage Synthesizer. Condition is “For parts or not working”.

For sale is the classic Korg DW-8000.

These are very lovely digital synthesizers with gorgeous sounding analog filters.

This unit powers on and the display works, but does not opperate. Some buttons seem to respond. I am not familiar with this synth and I only know it is missing it’s internal CR battery.

Cosmetically, it is in fantastic condition, especially for it’s age, with light wear on bottom.

“I had my tech replace the disk drive and checked the unit over. Please review the pics with the color tabs on them as those keys action are a little off and could use additional keys to make it ideal for playing although you can play the keys fine as they are. The middle black sharp Ab/G# is bent a little but playable which It probably could be adjusted and repaired. The keyboard comes with with 6 DSS1 floppy disks. Rare, an excellent instrument with unique vintage sound.

For parts or project.

Unit is powering on and all buttons of the synthesizing part looks as working, display shows different assignment.

The keyboard does not have a sound output to the phones- just some noise when you depress the keys.

It has not been hooked to PA. No other tests were performed.

Cosmetically good- no noticeable scratches or dents, some discoloring.

“Korg DSS-1 Powers On/ AC Cord Included. This is a fairly complex keyboard the DSS-1 and I have no idea how it operates. It does power on and the screen can go through different settings. There is a floppy disk that comes with it although I could not seem to get it to load following instruction on the internet. With the correct disk and the experienced user this DSS-1 may work properly. This Korg DSS-1 is sold AS-IS and I must sell it as a “Parts Only” item as I do not know how to operate it.”
