Korg mini Korg 700S

“An original Korg Mini 700S Analogue Synthesiser. Have owned this since the mid seventies.

It was gigged until the advent of the DX7, spent some time in my studio, then the loft and almost forgotten! it never gets used and it really is time to part with it.

If you don’t know the 700S, see here… https://electronicmusic.fandom.com/wiki/Mini-Korg

Here is a five minute video to show and hear it working https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKkQCnS5LB8
Listen on headphones to hear any noise or clicking of switches, which is very minimal considering its age. Excuse the playing, it’s been a while.

It’s in great condition, even has the original music stand that used to pop in the lugs on the top. Also still have the wooden flight case (more like a box with a handle!) which was built for it when I first got it, which is probably why it’s in such good condition.” Click here to visit listing on eBay

Korg mini Korg-700

“I have owned this beautiful vintage Korg since 1983. It is still in fully working order, with a few scratches and minor damage to the frame. Everything is original, including the mucic stand. “The MiniKorg-700 is a 50 year old, monophonic analog keyboard from Korg. Korg’s first ever synthesizer. It is a dual-oscillator synth, with a very analog bass sound, thud, thump, growl or squeal. The wood side-panels and large primary colored knobs and sliders are a sure sign of vintage status. It has been used by The Cure, ComaTeens, Kitaro, Human League, N-Trance, Vangelis, the Normal, Stevie Wonder, The Cars and Paul Hardcastle.”

With the re-issue of the miniKORG 700FS this original miniKORG is now much sort after, I will be very sorry to say goodbye to it.” Click here to visit listing on eBay

Korg Mini Korg 700

“Up for sale is my MiniKorg 700S. This is the real deal, made in the mid 70’s, not a remake. Still working fine and sounding fantastic after all these years.

I have had the synth for a few years. When I first bought it the balance slider did not work and some of the keys contacts didn’t work very well. The synth had been in storage a long time and just by playing it the problem with the keys was resolved. The balance slider needed some cleaning fluid applied and it worked fine again afterwards. That’s the only maintenance that I have done to the synth since I’ve had it.

Some more details about the condition:

I will upload a video soon showing the synth in action. The plastic covers on a couple of the sliders are a little loose, I’m not sure how they should be fixed, they could definitely be glued in place but I preferred not to do that. All the controls but one work, some only affect the sound when other settings are made, so please refer to the manual if you can find one online. The only control I could not seem to find a way to work is the travel vibrato control, I’m not sure how it works but it doesn’t seem to do anything (also, judging by the colour, this control was replaced at some point in the past). There are clearly some knocks and scrapes to the bodywork and few of the sliders are not as smooth as when the synth was first made, but this should be expected after so many years.” Click here to visit listing on eBay

Korg Mini-Korg 700

“Up for grabs is my vintage Korg 700 Mini-Korg, Korg’s first synthesizer. I picked this up earlier this year at a local auction, but haven’t used it as much as I thought I would so am listing. It’s in decent condition for the age. Cosmetically, it has some scratches and looks like someone dropped their cigarette on the keys at some point in it’s life but that has no impact on performance.

Electronically, it functions mostly well, but I’ve noticed the vibrato on\off doesn’t work. Luckily there’s a slider so you can control with that. The outputs work but low can crackle here and there so I just use the high. All the controls could use a good cleaning, but none of them stick.” Click here to search for synths on eBay
