Additional Info: The increment dial is missing its knob (not included) but it is still movable. The number 1 spot under OSC display covering is missing and just the button is exposed and it does still function (see pics). There are 5 keys broken off at the black key mark that still work (see pics). There is some light sticker residue near the digital display. The top plate is missing its screws so the plate does lift up and open (see pics screws not included).

“This synth was recently serviced and fully calibrated. The regulators and filter caps were replaced, and all internal trimmers were calibrated per the service manual. The keyboard was also removed and each key was individually cleaned as was the key contact assembly. The original vintage manual is also included, and signed by the author recently. There are some cosmetic imperfections as shown in the pictures, but this synth is in otherwise very good condition and all functions work as they should. “The marked keys need repair as they are dead and one plays loud and a couple others are intermittent.
For sale is a Roland JD-800 Synthesizer. It works great except for the marked keys being dead. One of the marked keys plays really loud. A couple others are intermittent and the rest are dead. I noticed that the Bias Point slider is stiff but it seems to be working fine. Also i noticed that when i press around 8 keys at the same time i hear a little bit if static for a second. This may be normal. Please see the pictures and note the snall stains on the painted plastic as well as the scratches. The internal battery needs to be replaced as i saw a message about low battery voltage when i turned it on.

“I bought this 106 about four years ago when I was travelling in the USA. It wasn’t working well at the time but I brought it back to the UK with me and serviced it.
It’s now working perfectly.
It was originally a 120v model. On inspection the transformer has a 240v input as well as 110v. So I re-soldered the power connecter to the the 240v input and its been happily working on UK mains since.
The other problem it had was a couple of the voices were cutting out. This is a common problem which I researched and was able to fix easily enough.
I removed the six voice chips and soaked them in acetate to remove the think rubber coating which was on them. I then added header boards to the main PCB and replaced the chips, since then everything has worked perfectly. The addition of the header boards means that the chips can be easily changed in the future without the need for a soldering iron.
Cosmetically all of the sliders and buttons are working, and the memory functions as it should.
All of the keys are working and the paint work is in good condition.
If you look at it in the light there is a misty sheen on the top surface, it’s as if someone cleaned it with a heavy duty cleaner which left a residue. I’ve tried wiping it down with IPA but that didn’t help and then decided to leave it as its hard to notice and didn’t bother me.
The power cable has a USA plug on it so will need an adaptor
Included with the sale is a Gator semi hard gig bag which will protect the synth in transit. It’s quite heavy so I think postage will be £25.
