Sometimes it continues to play after you release the keys, like it has a mind of it’s own.

I could factory reset it, but I do not have the ROM to reload factory data.

“Ive put in a good effort trying to get this thing fixed, but I think it’s time to pass it on. Essentially, the main issue is that the sixth channel is screwed up. This usually manifests by not producing any sound whenever you hit a note on the six channel, and unfortunately, it’s kind of unpredictable which you know will be on that sixth channel. You can partially correct the problem by setting the voices to monophonic, but that ruins a lot of the fun. Additionally, some of the numeric buttons aren’t working very well.
The last guy that took a look at it gave me a description of what’s going on. I’ve quoted him below.
“Its pretty beat – membrane switches are pretty shot, something is busted in channel 6 and the case is rough. (…) All 6 of your chips are good, it’s something else in channel 6 not the synth chip. The chips are CEM3394″

Checked over by our resident synth expert – it is in superb working order. The front panel, controls and keyboard are all superb and undoubtedly in exceptional original condition for a 2600 of this age. The keys of the 3620 keyboard are showing some age in terms of fine scratches and scuffs but overall this is also is excellent condition. The tolex has some wear and scuffs – mostly on the edges – but nothing serious. “This module part of the rare the educational series modular version of the arp 2600. It is a single vca but in the context of the 2600 it is a very powerful. The module runs using one 9vdc rectangular batteries.
The module uses the same mini jack system as the arp 2600. It is basically ready to work as an expander to the 2600 or in conjunction with other lab modules.

“Mighty SP12 Turbo: everything works. All LEDs, sliders, knobs and buttons. The sliders are in very good shape. I bought it from the original owner. Serviced last week, new battery, NOS slider caps purchased to a reputed seller and will include 5 original slider caps as spares. I have owned and used dozens of drum machines (beggining with a Drumulator in 1985) and to me the SP12 has the best workflow of all.

“Great sounding antique board (pre-1980s) with a killer filter and some unusual gnarly effects via its flexible modulation capabilities. Oscillator sync, sample and hold, audio rate frequency modulation of both the filter and oscillators, duophonic mode and did I mention the filter? Yeah, it’s pretty sick. Screams like a banshee. In fact, I believe Arp sued them over cloning their design of the original Odyssey.
It’s been in dry storage for some time, but it still plays and sounds great. The original filter was replaced with a new old stock OEM chip that was tough to track down, and it had a thorough check up by a reputable vintage synth tech shortly before going into storage.

“It is with a heavy heart that i thin out my studio by starting with an Alesis Andromeda A6 polyphonic analogue synthesizer that is in excellent condition. This synth was purchased new in 2009 from Noisebug out of Pomona CA. I have been the only owner and it has spent all of it’s time in a studio in an upper rack where it was mostly played through a master keyboard. I never had any issues with this synthesizer. It has been my berlin school in a box.
The synth has suffered a few minor cosmetic blemishes over the years as is identified in the close up pictures provided. It is due for a new battery at the end of 2019. The pots were recently cleaned. I am a non smoker.
There is a steep learning curve with this synth to figure out it’s sweet spots so this synth would be best served with someone who has an excellent sense of programming. i admit, this synth humbled me at first. I deeply hope that this synthesizer finds a good home as it has served me extremely well.
