“Excellant condition Roland JD-800 with a new keybed from Roland, no red glue! The key test shows 127 for all 61 keys, perfect. It has scuffs on the left end cap but that’s it. No marks or scratches on the facia, rear, or right end cap of the synth (there is some minor wear on the front lower end of the right end cap). “The synth part can create some nice bleeps and bouncy basses while the strings section is perfect for recreating THAT classic 80s string sound.
The synth section can be fairly quiet and tends to create static when pushed over a certain volume but the strings work fine and have been used for home recording projects.
Bought in a music store in New York, the machine uses US voltage, but this comes with a transformer as well as a nice soft flight bag. ”

“I was given this by an old gearhead who worked with Blur.
Unfortunately it doesnt function properly and emits a piercing noise when turned on and thats it, no keys or buttons work.
Im fairly certain the fault is battery leakage and needs a new motherboard (a kiwisix for example) although I am just making an educated guess and could be wrong.
It has been slightly modified by adding MIDI capabilities which raises the value of the synthesizer significantly.
If you can get it working then you have a rare gem on your hands as its a truly spectacular machine. ”

“Very good cosmetically overall – Can be used as it is but has some non-critical issues – the case bottom/end cap is missing a small section as shown in the last photo. LCD display backlight is out and there is small darkened spot in the LCD display. Battery needs replacement. Also, part of the assembly for the power cord is out of the back. No effect on function but it should be re positioned in the body.
I believe that due to the battery being dead, settings are lost when the synth is powered down. When its restarted, they have to be re-set as they default to some wacky values – for example, the master tuning defaults to +63. Also, I am not well versed in this synth, but I have to mess around pressing different buttons before it gets to the mode where it sounds. Once it sounds, it plays great, sounds amazing. Losing the settings should resolve with replacement of the battery. ”

” Up for sale is a vintage early 80’s Yamaha SK-15. The Yamaha Sk-15 is in excellent condition for a synthesizer over 30 years old. This Yamaha SK-15 produces many of the same sounds as the Arp Solina and was its competitor back in the days. Great for classic organ sounds and beautiful lush sounding ARP Solina strings. This item has been tested and is in great working condition. No sticky keys or buttons on this synth. All the sliders and buttons have have been gone over and cleaned producing no static whatsoever. If your looking for an original String/Organ from the 80’s this is it. Remember this item is over 30 years old and does have some light knicks and wear.”

” The Yamaha TX816 Synth Module. 8 DX7s in a single chasis. Fully programmable. 16 voices per module. Great shape cosmetically, all buttons present and working properly. Was the best synth module in the game at one time. Is still a monster synth. All the great FM sounds, great e.pianos, strings and synth sounds. Rarely do you see a full racks these days. Have had this since the 80s, it’s time to replace the internal batteries, do that and you got one of of the best synthesizers ever made, is about a $300. dollar job. Hasn’t been used in the past few years, no longer have equipment to verify it’s functions so sold ‘as is’. Worked perfectly when last used but I know the internal batteries do need to be replaced, other than that; perfect. No reserve, thanks for looking”

“I’m very sad to see this one go, but I need the space in my tiny studio. I’ve only owned it for a year and it has not left my studio. Previous owner was a well known keyboard/vintage gear shop.
I’ve gone through all the keys and knobs. Everything works great. Certain numbers on number pad can get stuck occasionally but after tapping once or twice they go back to working fine. The output sounds great, and the midi works. Sequencer and arp are working too! ”
