“This vintage synthesizer is in very good cosmetic condition and is working, though, it has a few issues / considerations: The floppy disc drive has not been tested, the temporary yellow colored disc used while transporting the keyboard takes some effort to stay in place (it will be taped in place for shipping purposes); the battery used by the synthesizer memory is drained and needs to be changed to store new programs; also, occasionally, the synthesizer displays a KEYBOARD CALIBRATION ERROR when booting up. This can be temporarily cured by performing what is described online as the “Heimlich maneuver” – laying the keyboard in your lap, placing hands on each end and twisting slightly in opposite directions to temporarily restoring the faulty connector in the middle of the keyboard. A more permanent solution is to hardwire the PC boards beneath the keyboard (see online directions for “Repairing an Ensoniq VFX showing Keyboard Calibration Error.) Also, the foam inside the case has deteriorated & will need replacement if used regularly. All keys and preset sounds are working. ” Click here to search for synths on eBay

This is updated to the latest OS and I’m the only owner. It’s wavetable synth that can also do FM (albeit very basic). It can also produce percussive tones and sequence it’s own filter bank and it can do it all at the same time. You can also play an external synth through the filter while also playing the percussion or onboard synth. It’s four voices so you can play a bass line, an arpeggio and a two note chord with the onboard sequencer or an external sequencer. It’s very deep. Check the video below for more details. This unit was bought new from an authorized retailer but somehow arrived with a chip in the paint on the right corner. You can see it in the photos. The synth will ship with the stock power cable”

“Roland D-50 synthesizer. Fully working! Don’t let the fixer-upper condition fool you, it is functional and sounds amazing. I’ve been controlling it via midi and it works perfectly. Obviously will need some TLC; needs the upper 5 keys, is missing all screws for the bottom panel, contacts under buttons and keys need to be cleaned. Rust on inside bottom plate doesn’t affect the electronics.” 
“Roland SH-1000 vintage synth, Roland’s first synthesizer, and supposedly the first keyboard synthesizer made in Japan. In good shape, missing one knob, has one knob missing the silver top, wood has wear, and there are some scratches (see pictures), but has all the selector tabs, and everything works as it should. Does take about 20 seconds to warm up when switched on before it produces sound, I’ve been told that’s typical, but wanted to make that clear. Can be operated as a preset synthesizer with the 10 preset tabs, or you can create your own sounds using the waveform selection tabs and assorted modifiers. Has vibrato and tremolo with a choice of two waveforms, white and pink noise, random note generator, portamento, note glide, filter controls, ADSR, and an octave selector switch. Sounds very good, can create some great sounds due to the ability to select multiple waveforms/octaves at the same time.”
