“Here is a classic DX7II-FD. This synth is in good cosmetic shape other than the damage that was received while in storage. Some heavy items were placed on top of the keyboard, resulting in damage to the bottom two octaves of keys, and to four of the buttons (two of the voice mode select buttons, the EG Copy/Store, and the Play/Performance button. I’ve been playing the synth all morning and it still sounds great. All of the other controls seem to be working just fine. Please see the photos to examine the damage.
This is a legendary and fantastic sounding synth. I’m reminded how good it sounds… and how much better it sounds than the emulations that are out there… today as I’ve been playing around with it. These are always pricey to box up and ship, so local pickup in the Lehigh Valley or NYC area is possible.”

“You are looking at a chance to own a unique / modified Yamaha FB-01. The FB-01 is part of the famous FM series such as the DX7.
Cosmetics: This is one of the nicer units I have seen, apart for a few specs the black paint is in excellent space. All 8 buttons work with ease.
Modifications: Updated audio signal path with hi-fi op-amps, and a battery holder for quick future battery replacement with no soldering required.
All Yamaha FB-01 units have incorrect parts that were installed straight out of the factory. The manufacturer installed these lower quality parts despite what is written on the original schematics, reducing it’s sound quality potential, and it is noticeable like day and night. The modifications installed on this unit unlocks the higher frequencies, better known for the famous bright and sharp sound of FM synthesis that Yamaha initially developed. In addition I installed superior quality OpAmps that not only reduce noise with ultra low distortion but also boosts volume to a reasonable range. To save time in the future, I also installed sockets for the OpAmp chips, just in case there are any other low-noise replacements to try out (note: I do not recommend the replacement of the OpAmps unless you absolutely already know what you’re getting yourself into).”

“I’m having a bit of a clear out and selling my lovely Yamaha SY1 synthesizer.
This was Yamaha’s first synthesizer from 1974 although it seems advanced in that the keyboard has aftertouch which can be routed individually to the filter or wah-wah, the amp or to produce vibrato, or all three. There are 28 preset sounds (Growl Pet being one) but you can also engage manual control over the filter cut off and resonance, the amp envelope, vibrato, pulse width and portamento, which can then be edited using the sliders and knobs on the control panel. You can also slide into notes using attack bend.
Once mastered this is a very expressive synth to play and though I have Roland SH1000 and 2000, I personally think this is really head and shoulders above them control wise (and it never double triggers!). Put through some dense reverb and delay you can almost make it cry like a guitar – there are some good demos on YouTube.
The synth is in lovely condition with just a few small paint chips on the front corners (seems to be very common on these synths) and a couple of marks on two of the keys. The wood is really nice and clean with no marks, I hope this comes through on the photographs. I just don’t use it as much as I once did.
The synth also comes with about 3 mtrs of power cable which seemed to be standard then.”

“Yamaha tx81z FM Rack Synthesizer with X81pg programmer — In good condition! 100% functional! Some buttons on tx81z are a little sticky(due to age) but work fine. The left rack ear on the tx81z is bent a little but does not prevent easy racking and definitely does not effect functionality.
