“Still functioning and running. Two knobs have dry rotted off. The rubber face of the synth is also oxidizing which can’t really be helped as this is what these models of synths do.
I’ve kept it in my closet ever since I bought it. I really love the synthesizer but I am too scared to keep it, i’ve heard too many bad stories about these suddenly not working anymore. This synth is so amazing it’s heartbreaking to sell it, just the random function on it is worth so much to me for instant creativity.
The power supply is duct taped closed because it became loose but it works great. Comes with printed manual. I really wish I didn’t have to sell this synth but I feel like I have to so someone that is more knowledgeable about electronics can give it the attention it needs. “This Waldorf Pulse Rack is in perfect working condition. All encoders and buttons are fully functional.
There are some scratches on the face and rack rash on the screw holes. Waldorf used a weird soft rubber paint on this that is easy to scratch. With the grey color its hardly noticeable in person. Photos show the detail.

“This is an original yellow Waldorf Q rack. The finish is in fantastic shape, which is amazing when considering how poorly most of these Nextel painted units have held up. It still has all of the original knobs, which are showing no signs of deterioration. You’ll see in the left-most close up that two of the little caps on top of the knobs are missing. They were missing when I bought the unit, and I tried but could not find replacements. All encoders are clean and functioning properly. The unit also has the last operating system Waldorf released for the Q installed. This is a big win, since many of these early units could not be upgraded past the 2.13 release. OS 3.02 means you get a much improved effects section.
There’s a bit of rack rash that you can see around the screw holes in the close-up shots. Otherwise, she is simply gorgeous.”
