“Roland Juno 106 for sale in good condition. I have owned this for 15 years, but It hasn’t been used in years. I have powered it on a few times over the years and let it warm up. It was also given a service about 4 years ago, everything was stripped and cleaned, but it hasn’t been used since.

As far as I can tell everything works ok, although the chorus buttons do not seem to do anything. All knobs and sliders are present. There is some slight cosmetic damage to the case. ”

“Fully restored Roland Juno 106 Analog Synthesizer working perfectly. Includes Juno 106 synth, US power cable and 1 extra 80017a voice chip.

All keys, slider caps, and buttons were removed and hand washed. Vacuumed and cleaned inside and out. All 6 voice chips had the resin removed to last for years to come. The one voice chip that was giving trouble when I purchased the unit has been socketed for easy removal in the future if needed. Includes one extra 80017a voice chip (resin removed) for replacement in the future if needed. Trouble tact switches were replaced for 1 touch operation.

“Here’s a vintage original 1980s Roland Juno-106 Keyboard up for sale.

It works but not perfectly. It powers up and plays but it does not sound right. It sounds distorted a bit and not the way it is supposed to. This item is being sold as is for repair.

“Juno 106 programmable synth.
For someone new to this keyboard here are the issues that are common and easily fixed.

Needs #6 voice chip replaced. These are available on ebay for under 100$ new but there are ways to bring these chips back to life easily found on the net.
Needs a new battery. These are common watch batteries or I’ve read you can use a common 3.6v computer battery. The old battery clip is removed from the board and wired for a new clip to get mounted in a more convenient location.
#2 patch button is flakey and so are the key transpose and poly buttons.

“Hello, today up for grabs is a blast from the past, and if you’re looking for one, then you understand why. Cosmetically it’s in good condition, the knobs and keys are in good working order, the bottom of the unit was made in wood, so it’s the most fragile part, but for its age still in good shape in my opinion. ”

“This Juno 106 is used and excellent cosmetic shape but in need of some restoration. Unit powers on. All knobs, sliders, and keys work. Sound works, it is a functioning Juno-106.

All patches are wiped out. So one would need to restore patches through Tape Load of factory banks, or just make their own patches going forward. Some of the sliders have a subtle crunch, and the Volume knob is the worst offender, it is very noisy/crunchy and will need to be restored.

I inherited this synth from my father recently– it spent a long time in storage, and would be a great buy for a synth collector.”

“This keyboard is in good working condition. As far as we can tell everything is working. Most of the tactile switches have been replaced with new switches. The DCO slider by the pitch bend wheel is a bit sticky. The 3 slider caps, volume and portamento knobs on the left side have been replaced. Please examine the pics carefully for overall condition.”

“Powers up,all lights working, appears every fifth key not working, I don’t know what is wrong, maybe voice chips, maybe something else, or a combination of things, anyway, absolutely sold as is, no returns accepted. I prefer local pickup, where you can try it out, but I will ship, as long as buyer knows they are getting a keyboard that needs serviciong. You will need to connect it to an amplifier, as you probably already know. New replacement power cord included.

All sliders , knobs and buttons are present and accounted for. Bender is also perfect and functioning.

In very good physical shape, a few small melt marks on several keys, random light scratches and marks, and some scratches on the bottom of unit(see photos). Photos were taken with and without flash.”

“Roland Juno-106 Programmable Polyphonic Synthesiser

Works perfectly – just had voice chips and buttons replaced professionally. Everything else sounds and feel great!

There are a few minor chips to the paintwork but these could be easily sorted (all featured in photos). There’s also a scratch to the paint near to the Roland logo (please see last pic). There’s a slight white stain on the back (think this may be paint – see pics again.)

Really sad to be parting with this – would love for it to go to a good home.”

If you’re shopping for a Juno 106, you should know that there is a chip that eventually malfunctions and needs replacing. If a seller doesn’t specify that they have replaced it (as “serviced”), then it’s probably unserviced like mine. I believe the POLY2 voice has the error, the POLY1 voice plays fine (might be reverse). Replacing the chip was going to be my fun project until I became a starving artist. You can find the replacement for less than $100 and do it yourself, or it can be fixed up easily at any synth shop etc — very common issue.

In good condition, no knobs or anything missing, no real cosmetic damage. Keys work perfectly, etc. Only issue is it is unserviced.
