There are not many Lambdas out there, an unfortunate fact as they are well-equipped at performing 70s/80s polysynth sounds, Solina-like stringsynth pads and 70’s-esqe synth-clavs, pianos, etc. The sound is very similar to the PS-3100/3200/3300 range of synths. I had read about the bad internal batteries so I had a new one installed even though the old one had no signs of leaking anywhere. That did not fix the problem and that is about as far as I can go with the repair without knowing how to test for problems. I am selling the keyboard as/is since I have no clue what the issue may be. “This Korg DSM-1 is in great condition cosmetically, there a few scratches on the top but other than it looks great. However It needs a new floppy drive, you can install a floppy emulator on this, which would make it even more powerful than it already is. All functions have been tested and work to my knowledge. One button, the “edit system” button is very slightly pushed in very slightly more than the others but it still operates fine and it really isn’t noticeable at all really. Here’s a great chance to own a vintage classic for a lower price!”

“This is Korg MS2000 Analog Modeling Synthesizer. It turns on and loads up, but does not produce sound. After doing some troubleshooting, it says there’s an MPUtoDSP error. I tried swapping out the DSP, but my soldering skills are not up to the task. I’m guessing you could either try resoldering the new chip I used or try it fresh with another Freescale DSP56362.” 
“It is a so-called guitar synthesizer. Roland is generally famous for guitar and synthesizer, but KORG also announced a compact model with less malfunction. Not limited to guitar, any instrument can be used as a source as long as it is a musical instrument that produces sound with a single note. You can mix several kinds of presets, or you can control the harmonic overtones like an organ’s drawbar to obtain a sound that can not be obtained with an effector.
