” For sale I have a faulty Korg Micro-Preset Synthesizer Keyboard (Model: M-500SP). The synth turns on and most of the effects work, Synthe 2 and Voice settings give little to no sound. The settings that do work don’t generate a stable pitch 100% of the time. 4 keys don’t work with 1 of the 4 permanently down (god knows how that’s happened!). There is scratches and knocks all around the keyboard but that has come from the sheer amount of years / decades it’s been around plus as I say it was performed with.

“For sale is a fine example of the classic and rare Korg Mono/Poly Vintage Analogue Synthesizer. If you’re reading this then you probably already know about the mythical powers of the Mono/Poly. Exceptionally powerful 80s analogue synth, capable of very beautiful traditional sounds or completely wild, devastating patches. This thing sounds absolutely dangerous. The warmth, fatness, depth, modulation capabilities, tightness of envelopes and lush screaming filter resonance are unmatched by anything else. It’s just alive – as soon as you switch it on and hear it you know there are spirits living inside it (these spirits can’t be cloned by Behringer! :).” 
“Nice cosmetic shape overall, a few light marks nothing major, but had the common battery leak issue when I got it. Mostly works now after some repairs done, but has some issues still left that will need repair, listed in detail below what all works and what doesnt to the best of my ability, tho I am no expert on these. The batt board was cleaned up and traces repaired and 4 chips replaced, which fixed many of the common issues from the battery leak, but a few problems remain. I do not know if any remaining problems are due to more probs on the battery board or something else, so it may need a new klm367a batt board, or maybe not, might be a prob on a different board or something…or all the above, dont know not an expert. A new battery was not installed, so there is no patch program memory, just random patches still in it. You can get a new klm367 board for about $200ish from a nice german seller synthronics.de who I think sells them on ebay and said it would take about 3-5 days via express shipping to usa, if you cant find the link ask me. I was thinking of getting one from him but just dont have the time anymore, and figured maybe an expert on these would be able to fix the remaining probs without needing a new 367 board. So this is sold as is, partially working, for repair, no returns.

Recently tested and approximately 10 of the keys are no longer working. Some of these faulty keys occasionally work, so suspect it is the contacts that need cleaning. Recommend a full service by a professional including replacing the internal battery. The pictures are recent and all the other elements of the synthesiser appear to be working as expected.”

“The original version of Korg’s MS-20 Monophonic Analogue Synthesizer (not the re-issue). This one is in good shape, having been fully serviced for sale. Lots of re-capping, pot and key cleaning etc. It sounds lovely and to be honest i would really rather not sell it but i have next to no spare room at the moment so it has to go to give me a some more much needed space.”

“Up for auction is a Korg Poly-61 Vintage Polyphonic Synthesizer in non-functioning operating condition and nice cosmetic condition overall. I intended to restore this and started by replacing the leaking original internal battery. Unfortunately there was some damage done from the battery residue and some of the traces on the board will need to be repaired. I have taken a close up photo of the area near the new battery which shows the damaged traces. The other thing I did was replace all of the keyboard contacts with new LA Synth Co. contact strips. Because I own another Poly-61, I was able to swap out the keyboard to test it on my fully functional version. The keys all function perfectly with no issues.

Currently only E through B keys are functional on all octaves and C through D# are non-functional on all octaves. All of the functions work on those keys but the pots are pretty scratchy and will need to be fixed. Physically, there are dings and dents across the synthesizer that can be seen in the pictures. This synth is not in great shape – but can be a great opportunity to repair and have a fun little analog synth at an approachable price point. ”
