Unit has been tested thoroughly. All buttons, slider, display, audio out, modulation and pitch bend wheel are working. The only issue is 2 missing buttons as seen in pic…we have made replacement buttons that work although they are not casio buttons. Also I dont know if the screen is supposed to light up more that’s it shows.as you can see in pic the
Display is basic black and grey. I have seen blue displays on these units.The unit is in good condition thoroughly tested there are minor scratches here and there. This is rated 110V. Please note.

“This synth is in working condition . The power supply is not original, it is a universal type installed by the local music shop . I have not used the battery option but everything seems to be accounted for. There is a cigarette burn right by the Casio logo and slight warping on the control panel and a couple of keys ( SEE PICS ) . The fader button is missing on the volume but the volume works All buttons and knobs etc are working . Missing one keytar knob . Everything is in good working order and comes with original Casio PSU. The synth has been stored in a flight case for some years (not included) and all keys, buttons, pitch bend etc have been checked.

Also included is the CZ1000 midi implementation chart but no user manual. This can be found online from many sources.

Such a cool little vintage synth. While Casio sometimes gets the slight – real synth aficionados know that this keyboard is the real deal. Great phase distortion and capable of totally unique sounds or effects.

Instrument is in excellent condition. Battery compartment is clean which is important for item of this age. Casio made this to work primarily with batteries – I do not have the external power supply. Only flaw is that the on/off switch is stuck in the “on” position. Probably an easy fix with a little Deoxit. ”

“The CZ-1000 was the second fully programmable phase distortion synthesizer that Casio introduced. This synthesizer, introduced in 1985, was identical to the CZ-101 in function, but used full size keys and more attractive membrane buttons. It was also somewhat larger than the CZ-101. Like the CZ-101, this synthesizer had 49 keys.

The keyboard is in good working condition, with a few scuff marks.
The stereo chorus slider is missing the grip (like on the volume control) but still slides perfectly well.
The battery cover for the back is missing, and one of the battery contacts is rusted.
3 of the flat keys are slightly misaligned, so they stick very slightly.

“Selling my Casio CZ-1000 complete with power supply and patch sheets.
Synth works well apart from two problems that could do with attention at some point..
Two (2) of the keys are broken but its a mechanical failure with the spring so should be easily fixed.
In addition the power supply is wobbly but works when lead is carefully placed inside.
Apart from these 2 obvious problems the synth is in perfect working order…!
I have been using a sequencer to play it rather than the keys as the keyboard can be played via the MIDI.
Cheap sale as the keyboard requires two easy yet annoying repairs, used condition but not too bad, nothing major in the way of scratches or dents.
