I used it on my snare using a microphone on my acoustic set. Audiophile timbral quality. Truly holds its own with ANY other synth. One of the most beautiful synths ever made.
The reviews say the A-4 blows away the Moog Voyager XL. The GRP has much more power and flexibility and the fidelity is superior to the Voyager. If you are looking for a Model-D sound, then buy a Model D, cause even Moog’s re-issue doesn’t sound like a D to many. The GRP is not a Moog clone.
This is one HELL-of-a synthesizer, semi-rare. Will retain its value; so buy it, use it, then sell it for what you paid for it.
The cabinet appears to be a walnut veneer. Other than that, the unit looks brand-new. I am third owner. None were smokers, home studio only, never live gigged, super low hours. “A rare Electronic Dream Plant Wasp Synthesizer, serial # 001133, in working condition. Purchased from a US EBay seller in March 2016.
The original listing didn’t show what appear to be holders for a strap attached at the front of the base – to my knowledge no Wasps were produced with these but it appears to be a professional job (see close up). There are no cracks in the notoriously crack-prone case which makes me think it can’t have seen much use with a neck strap. The main cosmetic issue is that the front panel has a dusty hue suggestive of long-term storage, I’m not sure if that could be cleaned up. There are some wear marks on the left side of the touch-sensitive keyboard. As is often the case with these synths, the battery case cover is missing (see photo of rear). The white tuning pot that is normally present under the pitch bend also appears to be missing (see close up) – I haven’t opened the Wasp up because I’m not technically proficient and didn’t want to risk inadvertently causing damage. The synth can still be tuned with the pitch bend pot.”

“Octave The Kitten Synthesizer Keyboard
Tested and is working.
I’m no pro synth user and it looks pretty complicated to work.
I was able to get some very cool sounds out of it but probably did not test all the functions.
Looks like it has a warped back bottom and maybe on the side panels.
As you can see it is missing a few slider plastic buttons but all the sliders move and switches move and seem to function.

“Classic Roland Jupiter 4 analogue synthesiser in perfect working order and good cosmetic condition.
The serial number is 105108, indicating a date of manufacture of September 1981.

Considering its age, this synth is in good condition. There are a few nicks and scuffs most notably to the side cheeks. One of the keys has a small burn and the paintwork is scuffed just below the LFO knob. All are photographed here.

“Selling my Roland D50 for Parts or Repair. I have tried to get this thing going, but I must be missing something.
The power supply has been rebuild to be the Caps were out of spec and some voltages were off. Also the key contacts have been clean. I have changed out the back up battery as well.
As you can see in the photos when the unit is powered on it loads and goes to what looks like the patch screen but it is call scrambled up. I have read on like were people reload the factory patches from a card, but I do not have any D50 cards.
