” This is the famous OP-1 synthesizer, and it does not disappoint. It has incredible depth in terms of synth sound design, it is a great drum machine, has an outstanding sequencer, different arpeggiators, it’s a sampler (speaker and usb hookup), and it is a DAW (digital audio workstation) because of its recording and multi-tracking abilities. Overall, this thing is great. I’m selling it because I haven’t been using it very much (other obligations) and I think this thing should be making music.
Included: OP-1, original OP-1 USB cable, and the vinyl overlay that explains functions on the device.

I’ve had this synth since the mid eighties and it’s never been gigged, home use only.
Perfect for soaring lead sounds or for thumping bases and is quick and easy to set up.
Still in really good condition for its age.
Fired this up today and the sound is stable. The only small issue is a little bit of fader noise on the AMT, OSC1 and OSC2 but this is only when sliders are moved and I’m sure this will be easy to rectify.

“The face of the machine is relatively flawless but, the frame, tolex and sounds it makes tell a different story. It powers up and immediately begins playing a single fill, over and over, even with all rhythm presets off. This cannot be controlled by the tempo, accent or by changing fills. The upper “Rock” section (Rock 1,2,3 etc) does not work at all. However, the lower section (Samba, Waltz, Bossa Nova etc) works fine and the Rhythm A-B switch can even be utilized. It has not been serviced since I have had it but, it has obviously been opened up and glued back together at some point. ” Functionally: 9/10, Cosmetically: 8.5/10
All sounds and sequencer functions work perfectly, the only issue is the screen has a crack in it which created a dead spot in a small area of the display (shown in last pic). Was looked over by a tech for any issues and the lcd was the only thing found to be at fault. All sounds work fine, as do all outputs and inputs, and writing patterns and tracks is a breeze, just like all other X0X series. The only thing not tested was the loading and saving of patterns to an M64 cartridge as I do not have one, but I have no reason to believe it won’t work fine. On the lcd, the dead spot is just a triangular area that doesn’t display (I turned on all instrument positions to show what does and doesn’t display). The Mode & Track boxes does not show anything, and some of the sequencer dots are out, but the tempo display works fine as do all the dots shown. “This keyboard is a monster in sound and physical weight. Super phat analog sound especially from the synth section, no wonder the Phoenix keyboardist loves this board. Condition is excellent for a 40 years old synth, shows a few splinters in the wood here and there but overall great shape for its age. Good: All keys work. All buttons and knobs work well, some scratchyness in some but would be cleaned up from a good cleaning. The “write program” button doesnt seam to work but maybe Im missing something.. Not so good: tested it out on a tuner last night, the lower two octaves show about from 5-10 cents flat, one was closer to 15 on the tuner, seems to be on par with a synth this old from what I hear but being the bass notes its harder to hear the pitch being out.. I would assume some capacitors on the synth probably need to be changed now or in the future due to its age, which might “tighten” it up. The headphone out works great but the mix out seems to be finiky sometimes but messing with the plug seems to work, probably another deep cleaning needed issue, the direct outs from each of the voices work well from what I can tell. With that all being said, understand this is 40 year old board and there might very well be issues arising that Im not aware of or noticing at the moment or will happen in the future so this board is being sold as is. Purchased 2 years ago from Tokyo Japan, comes with Korg road case with casters, Im assuming thats original from 1980. 100V but works well on American 120V but keep that in mind, theres conflicting opinions about analog gear being “ok” with that small of a difference, Ive had a couple other old synths and it wasnt a problem. ” Click here to search for synths on eBay

“Yamaha DX27 Programmable Algorithm Synthesizer Ser#020043 Needs Adjustment
Additional Info: This synthesizer is physically in good shape and looks to be mostly in good working condition. The low C key on the synthesizer does not function and the data entry dial is missing its knob but still moves up and down (see pics). In testing the synthesizer we found that the output jack and the power jack are sensitive to the angle that they are connected by. We turned the synthesizer and got feedback and the synthesizer flickered off and on.
