It has been recently serviced, although you can hear a bit of mild crackling when engaging a few of the switches, which could be easily rectified with a more extensive cleaning. It does not affect normal playing of the instrument. Some normal cosmetic wear and tear on the wood frame as one would expect on an instrument of this age. Serial # 5017 means this is one of the early BETTER sounding models. Although the later serial numbers have increased oscillator stability, Moog simultaneously made other modifications that changed the sound, which many experts agree was to its sonic detriment. This Minimoog however is stable, which means you’re getting the best sounding version, which is paramount in my opinion. No electronic modifications have been made to this Minimoog (that could cause problems!). The real thing…all original electronic components. Local pickup is of course accepted and will therefore mean no shipping costs in the pricing, however all responsibility lies with the buyer once picked up.
