“”An extremely rare chance to bid on a MacBeth M5N (less than 100 ever made) semi modular synthesiser designed by Ken MacBeth. This is the latest version of the M5 with the modded envelopes which are a lot “snappier” and the filters have been modded to improve S/N. Otherwise the M5N is just a new paintjob and and new slider caps. The sound of the MacBeth is just phenominal…from some of the videos and interviews on the web it seems that Ken took the best of his favourite synths (EMS VCS3, Arp 2600 and MiniMoog) and created a real analogue from scratch using discrete components (no chips) and to my ears this is a real success…its got the qualities of all of the synths which is weird as you end up saying things like “thin but warm”, “fat and ethereal” which just doesnt make sense…until you hear the M5N.

I consider it to be partially to mostly working, I did try a number of the built in sounds and they seem to be working fine but some of the keys produce less sound and sometimes very little to no sound so I think they’ll need some attention. Battery warning comes on when you turn it on so it will need that replaced. I did not test any of the other various memory or other functions, only a basic test. Metal case in good shape, a lot of the lettering on the cabinet is quite worn but in general I’d say it’s in good condition or better cosmetically, no damage or signs of abuse. 2 screws are missing on the front. Comes with a nice fitted soft case, stand, original foot pedal, power cord, USB to MIDI cable and the 2 cartridges (which are untested) pictured, Music Pack and Q Spectrum. If the winning bidder does not want some/any of these accessories ”

“This Roland JD-800 looks to work; did some quick testing of the oscillators, filters, envelope generators, and VCA’s and didn’t se. You can see the orange instrument lights and LCDs all light up appropriately. All knobs and sliders seem to work just fine, but many of the piano-keys currently stick together, a few don’t go down at all, and some don’t sound. This is due to the Roland factory piano key-glue softened while it was otherwise being safely stored; the glue just simply breaks down and the weights refasten themselves onto the bottom of the keybed or the keys next to them. The case has some cracks in it near the system keys (see photo) and a chunk has broken out. All the buttons around it appear to work fine.

“Great condition SH-1 monosynth. I had the geniuses at Rainbow Electronics Sacramento install new custom sliders for hipass cutoff, VCO and VCF sensitivity range controls. White noise switch has occasional small idiosyncrasies, but didn’t bother me enough to have it swapped. Pitch can be unstable when warming up because it is a 40 year old ANALOG synth! This was a new thing for me I am a software guy, wanted some rich tones to sample for my vocoders. This synth sounds raw, deep, and phat- there isn’t a youtube video that really does it justice. 100v Japan unit, you will want to pick up a little transformer box.” 
“All items are in very good to excellent condition. The Juno-60 itself is in excellent working order. All patches and keys sound great. There is minor static when adjusting some knobs and faders. Nothing major but it will show up once in a while. There are small scratches on the surface from previous owners. (I believe I’m the third.) For an approximately forty-year-old instrument, she’s looking great. The JSQ-60 is in similarly great condition. In perfect working order, it’s made to pair with the Juno-60 as a recorder and sequencer. Included is also a Kenton PRO-DCB Mk 3 in excellent condition which converts the Juno’s DCB signal to midi so it can be sequenced and synced in the modern world. A Diamond Compressor pedal in near-mint condition. Three cables to connect everything: One instrument cable, one midi to midi, and one DCB to midi. A Hybrid Hardcase with normal wear and tear for the keyboard. Three adapters. And four manuals.”
“Roland Alpha Juno 1 Programmable Polyphonic Synthesiser, comes with original owners manual from 1985 and a power lead… Classic 1980’s analog synth made in Japan, used in many well known records including the Prodigy ‘Charly’ and Joey Beltram’s ‘Mentasm’Nice analog warm fat sound, its capable of producing warm pads and aggressive lead tones.Everything works fine as it should, the only small aesthetic things I would say are: > ‘IN’ is written in pen next to the midi input (photographed) > The volume fader is missing a little clip on knob (that would be easily replaced), I’ve not used one the whole time I’ve had it as the fader still works properly and is easily usable as it is (also photographed).
