“working kawai k-4 vintage early 90′s synth. here’s the deal- this thing has been played… not much by me… but, it has been played. there a few keys that stick a little. if you know what you are doing… i am sure you can fix it… or get it fixed in no time flat. the power adapter cord can be “funny”. it needs to be at “just the right angle”. so, either it needs a new adapter… or the port needs some small repair. again, if you know about these things… you can take care of it in no time. the original manual is included- which i see goes for $30 alone here on ebay. also, there is an expansion card for more voices that is included. this is a really cool synth. has all the outputs you would expect. the pitch bend and value sliders work just fine. controls midi as well. honestly- there are TONS of interesting, vintage synth sounds on this thing. i loved it! but, i have too many things and too little space. so… i’d rather someone use it and make cool music. obviously, sold “as-is”. ” Link
“Kawai K4 synthesizer, in reasonably good cosmetic condition. One black key in the highest octave is somewhat off-base, which causes it to stick. I haven’t been using it as a controller keyboard so I haven’t gotten around to fixing it, should be very simple. One white key in the lower octave has a chip on the underside forward lip, doesn’t affect playability or anything aside from the cosmetic condition. The sliders and buttons function perfectly, as do all of the outputs. I’m also including the original power supply, and a cd including a PDF of the manual and several dozen sysex files with full replacement banks loaded with custom patches.” Link

I’m pretty sure you could just buy a replacement key for a few bucks and replace it if necessary. Das Gerät stand bei mir zuhause im Homestudio und wurde dort regelmäßig und gemäßigt genutzt. Daher ist es weder verstaubt noch besonders abgenutzt. Insgesamt gibt es ein paar mini-Gebrauchsspuren, am Gehäuse sind ein paar Krätzerchen, die aber nur bei sehr genauen Hinsehen (Staubwischen oder so) überhaupt auffallen.
Da ich nach und nach die Klangerzeugung auf den PC verlagert habe, benutze ich es inzwischen lediglich als Masterkeyboard. Dafür ist es fast zu schade, und ich werde mir dafür ein reines Masterkeyboard mit Hammermechanik leisten.
Die Tastatur des K4 ist übrigens gewichtet und hat neben After Touch auch noch eine Speziefische Kawai-Option, die sich Attack- und Release-Velocitiy nennt und bei bestimmten Sounds zu tragen kommt. Insgesamt ist es eine sehr gute Tastatur, die sich gefühlvoll spielen lässt und schnell anspricht, auch für Drums.
Die Tasten sind alle voll intakt und dynamisch, ich habe die Tastatur nocheinmal komplett durchgespielt.
Die Funktionstasten sind auch alle ok, ein paar von den Programmwahltasten muss man etwas kräftiger drücken, aber es braucht keine Gewaltanwendung, um den Sound zu wechseln. “purchased this synthesizer brand new in 1990 from The Music Loft (Winston-Salem, NC) for $1,339 and have kept it in my home ever since. It has seen very little use (I play guitar, not keyboard!) and is in mint condition! The unit is very clean and all keys, controls and sliders operate smoothly. The LCD display is bright and vivid (see pic# 7). Other than a slight scuff of the paint on the letter “A” in “Kawai” (see pic# 6) and some scratches on the underside of the unit (from keyboard stand – see pic# 8) there are no other scratches, dings or damage on it! This is about as close to a new unit as you’re likely to find!
Includes the original box and packaging (see pic# 10), original power supply and original manual and wave list guide (see pic# 9).
I will also include a Kawai DC-16 Memory Card, which doubles the program memory of the synthesizer! (see pic# 9)

Volume slider doesnt work – permanently set to full volume.
3 keys are a bit temperamental :
F1 works just on very light velocity(press gently hear quiet sound – thats it)
B2 & F5 are just not quite right!
sometimes work fine but on other occasions misfire with either full attack or very slight delay.
