“Up for this no reserve auction is my trusty DX7. I’ve upgraded to a souped up one from Analogia so this one is surplus to requirements.
It’s fully working with a few things to note:
-The power supply capacitors have been replaced. No catching fire with this one!
-The backlit LCD has an issue, namely a faint line that runs down the middle.
-The preset buttons mostly work well but number 2 and number 25 can be hit and miss. They eventually work but I’d recommend opening it up and getting at them with some contact cleaner.
-There is one key in the lower register that has a slightly lower velocity than the rest when hit hard. A mechanical fix I believe
-The keybed is even except for one key that’s slightly higher. Can’t remember if it’s the same one with the velocity issue?!
As for the cosmetic condition, it’s not totally beat but it has pitting and scratching. Quite noticeable under bright light, have tried to document worst bits in the photos.
As is common with these, the plastic end caps are damaged on both ends. I repaired (erm) one with gaffer tape but it’s not exactly beautiful.
The hard case pictured is NOT included but the original Yamaha foot pedal is.”
