Teenage Engineering OP-1 Project Machine

” Works well for about five days, but then refuses to turn on. You have to connect it to a computer, reinstall the firmware (wiping everything you’ve saved), and it will start up fine for about another five days. (Instructions for how to reinstall firmware are on Teenage Engineering’s website, see screen cap for google search.)

As far as troubleshooting, a previous owner replaced the connector board, battery, and flex cable, but still no luck. I’ve also tried doing a factory reset and formatting the internal drive, but still no change. I suspect that the issue might be the DSP board, but those aren’t easily available.

Anyway, it works while it works, making this an inexpensive way to get an otherwise fully functional OP-1. See pics for cosmetic bumps and scrapes (the corner, several scratches on the screen). Comes with cable. No case, but will be well packed. No reserve. Have fun.” Click here to visit listing on eBay
