VS ships with original OS 1.2 chips that were removed when the Shalebridge 1.45 OS was installed and original LCD display.
Quick summary of Shalebridge OS new features and bug fixes:
NV PROGRAM NUMBER: Program Number is now remembered after power off
DATA INC/DEC: Data increment/decrement function has been added for fine adjustment
LFO SYNC: By default the VS has free running LFOs. If you change the 8th digit of the patch name to an ‘S’ (e.g. “Zenny 1S”) then both LFOs are synced to the keys. If the 8th digit is an ‘X’ (“Zenny 1X”) only LFO 1 is synced. LFO 2 will free-run!
ARP SYNC: Arpeggios are synced with the playing of the first note. Clock is reset when the first note is played.
LFO Sync & ARP Sync menu options: Adds “LFO Select” and “ARP Option” menu items, both are global features and saved in memory.
MASTER TUNE: Under the master tune screen a field has been added which provides a +\- 12 semitone transposition!!
LOCAL ON/OFF: Under the MIDI options switch a screen has been added to provide local keyboard enable and disable.
NRPN MSB/LSB IN & OUT: The original software had the byte order flipped LSB->MSB so many controllers (BCR2000, BeatStep Pro, etc) would not function correctly. HUGE IMPROVEMENT!
MIDI BUG FIX: In the original code, both ARP Rate and Split Point were disabled in the MIDI routine. The ARP Rate MIDI bug is fixed so now its NRPN controllable. If the ARP is off and you send the Rate NRPN then the ARP will turn on.
VS will ship with 240v selected and appropriate fuse for that voltage. Please be sure to make appropriate voltage selections for region before powering on.”
