All of the Jupiters have a sound that was unlike any other synthesizer and the JP-6 lives up to the billing. The sound is due in part to classic analog Roland technology in its filters, modulation capabilities and a thick cluster of 12 analog oscillators at 2 per voice. Easy and intuitive programming via front panel sliders, knobs and buttons enhanced comprehensively by the Europa modification.
The JP-6 works flawlessly, no issues with pots or sliders, everything works exactly as it should and this can be fully verified and tested before it goes to it’s new home. No yellowing of the keys either as you can see in the photos. A few minor scuffs here and there as you can expect for something which is nearly thirty years old, but nevertheless – this is a incredible analog beast which has been regularly serviced at James Walker’s Synthrepair.
