“I have seen JD-800’s sell in the $800-$1,200 range and then they jump up to $2,400 and more….why is that ? I found out the hard way, these suffer from a condition where the pink glue from the weights in the keys drips out onto the key contact strip…so I had it refurbished with all key weights re-glued back in and had a brand new key contact strip installed professionally for $500 for the keys and $200 for the new strip so it is refurbished and ready to go…so you don’t have to worry about this happening again in the future…I also put in a new battery and reloaded the factory presets” Click here to search for synths on eBay
