“These synthesizers are getting harder to find. Here is a real beauty. This Microwave XTk works perfectly and is in great shape overall. All keys, encoders, buttons, wheels, etc. are fully functional. All encoders are buttery smooth. Velocity and aftertouch works 100%. Cosmetically, there are some small scuff marks on the wood ends. Needs new bender wheel, 2 slider/fader knobs and the LED screen that sits over the bank/patch number selector. Also has a splotch of white paint on the body and a bit on one black key that I’m sure could be removed. According to the serial number (525564) this unit was manufactured in November 1976. This unit has been great for my own productions . it played a key role in my first four or five albums produced between 1999-2005. I need to part with it now for money reasons. Since the synth works great I’m not listing this as parts only but perhaps it should be listed like this? Not sure and I’m open to discuss.” This was previous sellers description. “This item is pre-owed, and since I am not an expert on this item it is not fully tested. I did power on the unit and it powered on fine. the unit was connected to an amplifier for testing. I must say I had fun with this unit, I was able to create some cool beats with this item. Now, most of the button work, but I did notice that three or four of the buttons had to be pressed somewhat firmer than the others to get a respond from the unit, and in with some buttons being pressed the unit did not respond at all. Hence, some of the buttons seems to have contact issues. No further testing was done. Overall the item looks good for its age. The item does show some signs of use, handling and age, such as scuffs, scratches, and discoloration. There is a small dent near the output jack, so the output jack is at a slight angle. Please see images. The battery compartment is nice and clean, no corrosion. Since this item is vintage electronics, only partially tested, and has some issues, it is being sold STRICTLY as is, as acquired, No Returns, for collection, parts, restoration/repair, or display.”
