Moog Taurus II

“Rare & amazing original vintage (c. 1981) all analog bass peddle synth. Complete with peddle board, synth module, stand, 5-pin interconnect cord & power supply. Peddles & synth have matched serial numbers. Early version with the 5-pin connection cable. It works great. Have been using it my set up for a couple years & hasn’t had any issues. Just fried it up again & every peddle, button, switch, slider, etc. works as they should. no noisy pots, bad connections, broken sliders, etc. External input works great. Have not been able to test the trigger or keyboard in/outs but no reason to think they shouldn’t work.

Can obviously make some great bass sounds, but can do loads more, from wild leads to trippy pulsating drones to ambient swells. Also has an external input so can process any other instrument, and can take a drum machine & or electric guitar into some very far-out zones. The synth module can be used as a desk top drone synth or processing unit without being connected to the peddle board, which is very handy.

The previous owner removed the “death foam” before it could do any damage. They also modified the finicky power input to a 1/8″ jack & aftermarket power supply. Looks kind of funky but works perfect.

The synth module is physically in great shape. Wood end caps have minor wear & the white slider caps & mod wheels have yellowed somewhat, but overall looks excellent. Peddles have a bit more wear but still in good shape without any significant damages. Logo is a bit rubbed off, and there is some masking tape residue, but I’m sure it could be cleaned off.

This thing pretty much rules. I’ve had a blast with it & hate to see it go. Will give a good price to any buyer who can pick it up in person.” Click here to visit listing on eBay
