Digital Interface Buttons: It plugs in and turns on but no sound comes out.

General Physical Condition: Light general wear (surface scratches/dings – will need a little clean up but otherwise intact)

The Case: Good Used Condition (general wear) the foam inside is good & the synth fits very well into it. Case is very sturdy.

” This is a used synth that I acquired and am selling, since it is from the 80’s it has normal cosmetic flaws such as some scratches, a dent in the back, and a cracked piece on the side, all clearly shown in the photos.

This is one of the first gens of DX7 synths I believe. The synth DOES turn on and all the buttons work, as shown on the display, HOWEVER I have not tested the sound as I do not have any output chords or volume pedals. This doesn’t come with the ROM cartridge, just the synth.”

“Bought for a rebuild and just don’t have the time to get to it. Unit powers on as it should, but it has like 6 keys that are either broken or dead and make no sound. Also missing a switch cover by the volume switch. Early model made in 1985, it has plenty of “character” aka dings, stains, small chips/cracks, svc and other various signs of use. I already have $50 invested just in bubble wrap and a box to ship this heavy beast and it’ll cost another 35 to $100 for me too actually ship it so with that said please understand that this is a project item that needs work so it is being sold as is with no refunds or return”

“The Yamaha DX11 – successor to the more famous DX7 but with some crucial differences. Wheras the DX7, DX100 and all the previous synths in the DX family built everything out of Sine waves, the DX11 offered other waves like saw waves to construct much more gritty & interesting sounds.

But my personal favourite thing about the DX11 is its chip is incredibly close to the soundchip in the Sega Megadrive! So if you want to recreate a lot of the iconic sounds of Sonic 2, Streets of Rage & all the rest – this is the synth to do it,

The synth is all fully functional and in good condition since it’s older than I am, scarcely a mark on it. Its only flaw is the Ram battery has expired – all this means is that if it gets unplugged any user data doesn’t get stored. In practice you just factory reset the synth when you first turn it on (edit+16+32) turn off & on again and everything is working as it should.

I’ve been using it like this for several years, but after a few thin paycheques i’m having to trim down my audio gear & sadly that means this has got to go too. A Ram battery fix is a fairly easy job – i’ve done it before with another synth but never got round to it with this.

By the way this has a two pin power flex but includes a normal 3-pin Uk plug adaptor.”
