“Up for sale is a Juno 60, works well. Some of the sliders are crooked and both the transpose and hold buttons can be finicky to turn on, could be a quick fix. Main volume pot is a bit scratchy and could use a little contact cleaner. “Was going to donate it to my son’s school, but they can’t use it. Just want it to go to a good home. I don’t need to sell it, have owned it since 1983, still works but it’s been sitting in my garage for 20 years and it deserves to be used. Comes with case, but the foam is COMPLETELY shot and will need to be replaced. One key is popped up (no idea how since it was just sitting in the case), one switch is broken. Still seem to work fine. “Keyboard is selling as-is. It’s in perfect shape. The synthesizer part works properly. The keyboard has an issue with patch memory. All the bottoms work, but I couldn’t load the factory patches. I’ve read that the keyboards below 334800 serial number have factory problems with patch memory. Which can be solved by adding additional 5V wires from power supply to the panel B. “For sale is an early 80s Roland Juno-60 in 100% functional condition. This synth has had several sliders cleaned, new bender lever, new felt gaskets on front panel, and underwent some repairs involving the DCO circuit. It sounds excellent and comes with the original factory patches loaded into its memory. Cosmetically, it has a few nicks as expected of a synth this age but nothing major. “All items are in very good to excellent condition. The Juno-60 itself is in excellent working order. All patches and keys sound great. There is minor static when adjusting some knobs and faders. Nothing major but it will show up once in a while. There are small scratches on the surface from previous owners. (I believe I’m the third.) For an approximately forty-year-old instrument, she’s looking great. The JSQ-60 is in similarly great condition. In perfect working order, it’s made to pair with the Juno-60 as a recorder and sequencer. Included is also a Kenton PRO-DCB Mk 3 in excellent condition which converts the Juno’s DCB signal to midi so it can be sequenced and synced in the modern world. A Diamond Compressor pedal in near-mint condition. Three cables to connect everything: One instrument cable, one midi to midi, and one DCB to midi. “A little while ago a friend asked me to help him clean out a storage unit that he had bought at auction. The deal was that he would keep all the tools and power equipment . I could have anything else I wanted. Most of what was left went to the dump but there were a few things I thought might have value. One of those things is this really nice Roland JUNO 60 Programmable Polyphonic Synthesizer. I know almost nothing about this instrument except that physically it appears to be in excellent condition. The only problem is that I can’t get it to work. I don’t know if it is because of my own lack of knowledge of this instrument or if there is something wrong with the device. Either way I feel that I must offer it as a synthesizer in need of repair or one that could be used for parts.

I did try but I didn’t have much luck. I plugged it in, switched it on and all the lights came on. It took me a little while to realize that a synthesizer isn’t like keyboards I’ve had in the past. It doesn’t have built in speakers. I tried hooking it up to some amplifiers I had laying around but I don’t know if they work either. Another problem I have is that I don’t know if I’m using the switches, dials and levers properly. Is there a certain combination that needs to be used? I don’t know. Eventually I found a set of head phones that I knew worked and after numerous attempts I was able to get it to produce some sound. I am not saying that I think it works only that it’s not completely dead. I believe that it can be brought back to life but I don’t know. I did open it up to look inside hoping to find a loose wire or plug. Something that had come undone that I could fix. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. However, I did take notice of how clean it is in there and I also noticed that the one fuse I saw was still good.”

This unit was tested and works, I have it marked as parts repair because not ALL functionality was able to be tested because the unit is missing a DCO toggle switch. Any functionality needed for that switch is unknown.. there were no issues prior. A new switch is about $20 on ebay.

All other features were tested and work without issues. I INCLUDED PICTURES OF IT PERFORMING VARIOUS TASKS AS PROOF IT’S OPERATIONAL.

The good.

Turns on and everything seems to function, presets are still there. 3 prong cord so it has been serviced in its life.

The bad

Some keys don’t sound. It is random. When put in test mode, all keys work. So it’s not the key contacts. Probably a chip is bad. Or it just needs a good cleaning. The case has some surface rust as pictured. 2 keys have burn marks as pictured. Some keys are loose.”
