Complete with a brand new secondary membrane control panel, LeCover dust cover, additional padded cover, and original manual, this vintage synth is a well-kept example of Moog’s first programmable model. With additional MIDI In and Thru upgrades, the flexibility of this keyboard is greatly increased, and the two classic MiniMoog analog oscillators and 24 dB filter sound incredibly fat and rich.
Moog’s Source was their first to offer patch memory storage, with 16 memory locations to instantly recall your synth patches. A cassette-tape jack was also implemented to transfer your patches to and from an external tape and free up the on-board memory for additional new patches. Unlike previous Moog models, all parameters are controlled by a single data wheel. Just select your desired patch or parameter on the membrane pad and use the wheel to assign a value from 1-100. Straightforward and easy to use, the Source allows for a variety of distinct Moog sounds to be selected on the fly and additional tweaking can be done in real time too.

The synth turns on fine and passes signal and makes lots of weird noises and sounds. Every knob and switch will change the sound in some way. That said, I sold this before and it was returned and the item is not working correctly. It sounds out of tune. I am selling this AS-IS, meaning no returns. If you buy this expect to spend money having it repaired. I cannot exactly say what is wrong with it so I am selling it AS-IS. ”
“Offering my Realistic Concertmate “Moog” MG-1 analog synthesizer. It’s fully functional and plays and sounds well. This particular unit has had some previous maintenance performed (goo-foam mostly removed, failing analog sliders replaced with suitable new parts back around 2005.) It’s a fun, very direct, slightly-garage sounding synthesizer designed by Paul Schreiber for Tandy way back in the days of yore. It’s compared sometimes with the Moog Rogue, but built with budget consumer electronics in mind.

The osc (tone source) modulation slider doesn’t work. The synth works and triggers on everything else except the 3 A Keys don’t sound. Some do in osc 1 or 2 but in poly mode the low and middle A are kinda fuzzy and the high A doesn’t sound. Sold as is parts repair. Great sounding synths when working.”

” Vintage Moog Minimoog Model D – One Original Owner now selling. I bought the Minimoog in about 1977 or 1978 New from Naperville music in the western suburbs of Chicago. The Serial # looks like it is Serial # 10460. However, the serial number stamp is very light and it may be 10468? This instrument has been stored for about 40 years in a custom travel case. I have loved this instrument, but it was rarely played the first few years I owned it and then locked away ever since. I have tested the operation and all keys, oscillators, pots, filters, switches and wheels are working properly.

Cosmetically the top, sides, and back are in excellent shape for its age, with only some minor dings and scratches, but the bottom is scratched and chipped as shown in the pictures. Functionally, it sounds great, all the keys work, and most functions work properly, except for the frequency knob (no response) (but the master tune works fine), and the ribbon controller (no response; broken on one end). Selling as-is and starting the price low for these issues. Includes an original user manual.”

It comes with the original power supply and all keys and sliders work. It’s a lovely synth but I’m selling all my old vintage synths as they are rarely played these days.
