“Powers up but no sound output. All front panel button controls engages when press. The speed led light flickers fast and slow when the slider is move up or down. IT IS MISSING THE JOYSTICK as seen in the pictures. Has a clip-on battery holder and I did put a new CR2032 battery (shows 3V). Bottom panel are missing all the screws so panel lifts freely. “This is a hard to find Yamaha DX5 synthesizer. This one is in excellent condition, it’s been fully tested and everything works flawlessly. Has a new internal battery installed and I’ve loaded all the original factory sounds back into it. Only flaw is there’s an area on the left side of the front panel that is slightly blotchy in color (see pic #2).”
“The synth gets played a couple times a year for fun and that’s about it. I collect many instruments and have run out of space for some of them so I have decided to let this one go. It has been well cared for and shows no abuse or abnormal wear. It is fully operational and ready to play.
“I turned it on and ran through some of the switches, buttons and knobs and everything responded affirmatively. You can see in the pictures that different lights are lit/ Plus it goes to 11. The floppy drive seems to work but I have no way of testing it. ” This unit works and has all of the original factory presets loaded! It is so much fun to play and tweak sounds to taste, thus creating totally different sounds! Soaring leads, smooth pads and even atmospheric “movie soundtrack” sounds are just the beginning of the Prophet 5 synthesizer! I love preset #32, the iconic synth preset that the The Cars used in the ’80s! Please understand that although every key on the 61-note keyboard works, that only four out of the five voices can sound at one time. Once you replace the fifth voice chip, you will probably want to re-calibrate, as all analog synths of this age are recommended to be re-calibrated every few years or so. The price is right and this awesome synthesizer needs a good home such as yours!!!”

“Beautiful 80’s Realistic MG-1 Synthesizer by Moog. Near mint with no modifications. The notorious foam, know to turn soft has been removed. All the sliders/pots/switches have all been cleaned and are 100% functional. Everything works. By far the most under rated synth from that era (80’s) and by far the most inexpensive. Sounds awesome! New slider caps replace the crumbled stock items. Very minute scratches. You can tell this wasn’t played that often.”

“This CR-8000 is in excellent shape for its age! The tempo knob needs to be cleaned which makes it jumpy, but if you run this externally synced, like I do, then it doesn’t matter. Aside from the dirty tempo knob, the unit is fully functional. There is the slightest hint of oxidation when turning the cymbal/hi hat volume but not much. There is a small crease in the front panel to the left of the tempo readout (see pics) and there are a few small nicks in the paint to the left of the word “preset”. The case itself has no breaks or cracks.”
