“This auction is for a working Roland Juno-106, and a working Roland MSQ-100 Sequencer!
This synth has been a labor of love, but it’s time for me to move on and make some space now that I have a Juno60. 🙁 This synth has a long story behind it, so please read the description carefully.
Right, now let’s talk about the Juno! This synth was a rescue. When I got it, it was covered in stickers, dried masking tape, and dust. It had numerous issues which I gradually fixed myself over the course of five months. This is probably the biggest project I’ve ever undertaken on my own and I really want to see this synth go to a loving home.
I have done the following:
>Swapped the ENTIRE front panel PCB with a “new” old one, as the original had too many issues to salvage. All controls are now working perfectly.
>Resoldered the AC inlet, as someone had replaced it without soldering it together properly. (It’s the newer type with three prongs, by the way!)
>Resoldered the power switch, as it had broken off
>Replaced the battery, installed a plastic battery holder that sits neatly between the CPU board and voice board (see pics)
>Reloaded presets
>Replaced Voice Chip 1 with another 80017a. (Yes, I did it right and actually put it in a socket)
>The previous owner replaced Voice Chip 6 with a clone from analogue renaissance.
All six voices are now working great!! I’ve let it run for several hours now and I’m not hearing any crackles or dropped notes. But please consider, if you want to completely future-proof this voice board, check out synth spa for a comprehensive restoration process. Not currently needed, but something to remember since five of the six voices are still original, non-stripped voice chips. I haven’t calibrated the two new ones, but everything sounds ok to me.
Note:
> Chorus is working great, but it is somewhat noisy. Maybe 50% noisier than my Juno-60. You will receive two NEW replacement chips (clones) + sockets so if it bothers you, you can swap them out. “This is a hard to find Yamaha DX5 synthesizer. This one is in excellent condition, it’s been fully tested and everything works flawlessly. Has a new internal battery installed and I’ve loaded all the original factory sounds back into it. Only flaw is there’s an area on the left side of the front panel that is slightly blotchy in color (see pic #2).
EDIT: I’ve had this listed previously, but I’ve added some new pictures and am now offering shipping via UPS within the USA and internationally, fully insured. Sounds amazing – large range of AWM and FM sounds to be blended and shaped.
The vector feature is perfect for blending in real time which makes this synth pretty fabulous for performances.
Condition is excellent with minor cosmetic marks to be seen as appropriate for its age.
The memory card has been wiped of its original sounds, so is free for new voices to be loaded as required.
I can provide voice editing software free of charge to interface with this keyboard. This can be used to load and edit voices.

“The original Pro-One monophonic synthesizer from 1981. Please refer to online reviews of this legendary instrument for detailed technical specifications. Suffice to say this is a classic analogue synth with extensive modulation capabilities, powerful filter with the SCI unique resonance, two oscillators, sequencer and arpeggiator. There is only one Pro-One in terms of build and sound quality; naming no names, recent clones are decent enough machines but simply that: machines rather than instruments. It was mostly triggered by a MIDI converter box rather than played direct during its working life, so the keyboard is responsive and without the triggering problems which some examples exhibit. There are slight though noticeable abrasions on the right-hand wooden sides (see photos) but otherwise it’s in a fine condition.
The Pro-One sound can be heard on recordings by artists as diverse as Vince Clarke, Michael Jackson, John Carpenter, and many others. It’s an absolute beast if you’re producing Techno or House.
This example has been kept carefully in storage since the early 1990s and has recently undergone an extensive service and overhaul by the Synthesizer Service Centre, London NW10 (invoice document included).

For a start you might need some of those slider caps, although I think you can get them on eBay (maybe the Korg ones will fit, I have no idea). I don’t have the screws that enable you to lift the front panel to look inside. The keys on this thing hang over the edge, crazy design, but they have never been broken thankfully.
