“This auction is for a used Yamaha TX216 Midi Rack FM Tone Generator Synthesizer that includes 2 TF1 Modules and an MRF6 Module. On top of the rack and modules I am also including a Yamaha YMM2 Midi Merge Box as well as a Yamaha YME8 Midi Expander.
Everything included came from a WORKING setup from a local University and the only reason they were getting rid of it was to update their technology with new equipment.
The only MINOR issue I came across when further testing the electronics once in my posession is that I was getting an error message from ONE of the modules.
The other TWO modules are working perfectly fine. For this reason and just to be safe please just bid with the understanding that this package comes with 2 working modules with the third module’s status being UNTESTED or UNKNOWN condition. My knowledge when it comes to these specific electronics is limited.
Cosmetically everything has been looked after by the school who owned the electronics since purchasing brand new in the late 1980’s with just some very minor wear which includes some light scratches. None of the pieces have ever been dropped or damaged and were always stored properly and professionally.
As for the Midi Merge Box and the Midi Expander they have both also been tested and work GREAT. They are both powered by separate 12v power adaptors that are NOT included. Off brand power adaptors can be purchased online for around $5 each.” Click here to visit listing on eBay
