Pro One, Sequential Circuits @ 07 December 2017

“Are you a musician looking to add retro sounds to your work? This vintage keyboard is for you!

This is a Sequential Circuits Pro-One is monophonic synthesizer, circa 1981. It has a three octave keyboard and two oscillators. It capable of producing a variety of rich sounds. There were only 10,000 units made. As the serial number demonstrates, this unit was #2795 (pictured).

This keyboard has reportedly been used by artists such as: Nine Inch Nails, Ladytron, Metric, Hardfloor, Überzone, the Prodigy, Cirrus, Fluke, Depeche Mode, Download, Banco De Gaia, Vince Clarke, New Order, Freddy Fresh, Mouse on Mars, Prince, Soft Cell, Richard Barbieri and Sigue Sigue Sputnik. See the vintage synth explorer link below for more information.

If you want to see some demos of what this synth is capable of in the hands of a professional, simply search for “Pro-One” on Youtube.

This unit has been used, so it has some wear. There are some small chips in the wooden frame and scratches on a few of the keys, but otherwise it is in excellent shape. All of the internal components are working perfectly and it has been recently tested (see the Youtube video link). The key bushings have been serviced, so the keys are very springy and responsive.

It comes with the original operations manual, which includes do-it-yourself servicing instructions and sample patches. The manual is somewhat beaten up, but none of the pages are missing.” Link
