The Roland TR-909 is one of the most sampled drum machines ever made, due to its iconic use in dance, house and techno music throughout the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s.
Unlike some other drum machines of the time, the TR-909 features separate outputs for each sound, for maximum editing and mixing possibilities. It succeeded the famous TR-808. It was also one of the first drum machine with MIDI functions, allowing it to sync with other devices. ”
