Recently-ish serviced around 2019 including every key removed and the contacts cleaned. Kept in my professional smoke-free studio since 1999, never gigged. The sticker on the PG200 is from a Warp Records Boards Of Canada promotion from the late 90’s (if you are reading this, I assume this excites you) so I didn’t remove it. All features work. Great step sequencer built in which you can also trigger via any signal via the trigger in (amazing with drums). Polyphonic. MIDI. Awesome filter.
What takes it to the next level is the even rarer, included genuine PG200 Controller. This makes the synth super-expressive with a combination of dials and switches laid out in a really user-friendly way. Due to the compact size of the controller it becomes second-nature where everything is and you can fly around it changing sounds.
All other JX-3P I’ve seen on ebay come without the PG200 Controller, which sells for around £500 separately (plus huge postage from Japan usually). I am only selling as a bundle though, as I believe you truly need both, and these two have been together for 23 years in my studio and I don’t want to separate them, even though I could probably make more selling separately. It’s a real “one take” bit of kit, as you feel totally linked with the synthesis and can get the sound out of your head easy. The sounds are incredible and it’s a real joy to play.
As used by legends such as Aphex Twin, Orbital, FSOL, The Orb etc. I don’t really want to sell it to be frank, but needs must & I will miss it. Give it a good home please.
