“Works “partially” – some of the sounds are weak. Some don’t seem to work at all, and some work after the unit has warmed up. Here is a list:
KNOB:
2′. Violin, Recorder, Whistle WORK!

8′. (no sounds work)
16′. (no sounds work)
32′ (no sounds work)
Both outputs work!
One of the levers broke off, and one of the keys is chipped. All keys work though. See pics for the damage.
Just opened it up, to see if the reason some sounds don’t work was apparent. I don’t see any bulged capacitors or anything easily identified. Looks to me like this has NEVER been serviced. Someone with electronic skills could fix this right up… ”

” Have to reluctantly let this beauty go as i haveent budgeted for the holidays as well as i needed to, so here is an extremely rare and beautiful korg vc-10 you have the opportunity to have in your collection. The first thing I would like to note is it has the original microphone that came with the unit stock. This is a piece that is commonly lost over the years and has a special connector so no other goose neck style mic will fit in the jack on the top. IOt is similar to xlr but slightly bigger in all dimensions. Another mic can be used in the “mic input” jack if needed but I have always been completely satisfied with the stock one. This vocoder is a 20 band vocoder so it has 20 individual vioces that can be played at one time. that’s twice as many fingers as one has to use so you cam get very creative.
The ts and trs jacks are as follows, Mic input,final out,phones,ext signal input (Which is very cool as you can plug another synth in and use it’s tone for the vocoder. And last input is “ext pitch control which can be used to control pitch with another device. Then Knobs are as follows from left to right. Tune, Octave (which is a 2 mode switch regular and “up”. Up will make the processed channel of then voice an octave higher. then bottom right is accent bend. Next roe has “input signal balance” and below that are 2 knobs in a row to control vibrato speed and depth. Next column in two switches meter select where you can use the UV meter which is so cool that this unit has a uv meter. The switch below is ensemble “on and off”. Next knob opver is mic level which is a pre amp to the mic. below that is ext pitch control where another keyboard can be used to operate the vocoder. The final row has three knobs”power/final voliume which is pretty self explanatory. Below that is a knob which controls balance between simulator and mic and simulator. This is a “wet to dry control” Last of all is phones level,. Which is pretty self explanatory
The keyboard is a 2.5 octave control and also has a pitch bend on the left side. ”

“Unit is untested and sold as-is, for parts or repair, no returns. There’s a piece of black tape over the volume knob. Also black tape covers the Yamaha logo on back. There is a battery cover, but no battery tray. I plugged in a 9V battery to the battery tray connector and got no response from the unit. All keys / buttons have good response. Strap shown is included and in good condition. ”

“I don’t need to tell you keyboard wizards how rare this is or its musical pedigree! There are none to be had now and I am reluctantly parting with her due to a downsize house move. I have owned this synth from New and imported it around 1974. Unfortunately I don’t have the original box though! This keyboard is in very good condition with all original knobs and sliders and there are no scratches or damage. Please note I am aware of one minor fault where the sustain mode is on all the time but I am told this is not a major problem? I am not being greedy but I am not giving her away either! “So I bought this about 6 months ago and am not using it. It’s working pretty well for a synth from the late 1970’s. As you can see from the invoice picture it was gone over and updated quite a bit by Synthchaser in California. This was before I purchased it. there are still a few issues I’ve noticed. There is sometimes a light click when keys are depressed coming through the amp. The string section seems just a little noisy, but this could be the era in which it was made? Not sure. Also the string section will occasionally cut out, but I’ve tracked this down to a wiring harness which I will mark. Not sure if it’s a wire or the plug. So it needs a little attention and it does have some cosmetic rust and wear, but overall it’s a pretty cool vintage board. I just don’t have the time for it. ” Click here to search for synths on eBay

” Hey guys I’m selling my Oberheim Matrix 6 analog synthesizer. It has been used exclusively in smoke free studio environments. Physically is in good working order, but from time to time will have a screen freeze and the unit needs to be turned off and then on, and randomly will not turn on – this may require maintenance in the future so I’m selling it at a reduced price. “Oberheim OB-8 Keyboard Synthesizer With MIDI. Has Issues, Sold AS IS No Returns. Problem(s) possible in Autotune circuitry or S/H. Voices 4, 5 & 8 may or may not always tune. Other voices seem fine. Needs a proper calibration. In great cosmetic condition. MIDI and all other functions such as the panel, pitch bend and CPU operation & keyboard seem to work fine.
