“This TR-909 unit was once owned by Skinny Puppy and, previous to that, the one and only Kraftwerk. Considering the enduring influence of both of these groups, it really deserves to be in a museum. It’s been in my possession since 1994 and has never been outside of the studio. While I would love to keep it around for trusty grooves (and as a conversation piece), my interests have changed. It should be in the hands of someone more dedicated to the keeping the techno mojo flowing.

A technician traced the problem to a faulty CMOS chip, the repair of which would be relatively straight-forward. In the meantime, patterns can easily be saved to a cartridge (such as the M-16C or M-64C), if need be. ” Classic 70’s mono synth in solid condition with all knobs, switches, jacks and LED’s working as intended.
This unit was recently serviced, with the power supply being recalibrated along with the VCO, VCF and VCA sections — in other words a full recalibration of the unit as per the original service manual.
The unit has been modified to operate at normal US wall voltage, not the 100V Japanese it was originally set for. This mod only involved attaching a different tap from the original transformer inside, as per the service manual.

PLEASE NOTE that this synth has a short in the DC adapter connection. If you push down once on the connection just slightly, it maintains power without a problem even while playing vigorously. It has been this way for many years and has always worked (but buyer beware, of course).
I have not tested the battery power but there is some rust residue in this area.

I have listed this item for parts not working but the synthesizer does work but is in rough / medium cosmetic condition. Electrically it seems to work fine but I cant say for sure all the functions work as it has never been serviced by a tech in the brief time Ive owned it.
here is what I do know.
all keys work and produce sound. synth tunes up and after warm up stays in tune.
touch pad looks rough but all buttons work. there are about 10 presets stored that play.
you can make your own presets and they will store in memory for recall.

“Arp Odyssey MKIII Model 2823 Rare Vintage Analog Synthesizer AS IS
No sound comes out of the synth anymore. My tech did some probing and said there is some sound coming out of one VCO
Filter is model 4075 and has the mods done to it.
Also all the TANTULUM caps have been remove.
All CTS PCB Trimmer pots replaced with new , old ones come with sale.
The power supply also re capped. Very stable out at +15 and -15 Volts.
I dont have the time or money to get him to repair this beauty.Someone just messaged me and said to check the op amps,well someone can its for sale to a good home.
The ARP is very clean and in beautiful condition also. KEYBED buss very clean.
All new slide potentiometer’s from GMUSYNTH, 10 have the LED which was going to be a later project as i only wanted the important sliders to light up in the dark. LOL
The led power supply a 5 volt meanwell is mounted inside near the ARP’s P/S and comes with the 2 led dimmer pcb’s so if you install you can dim or brighten the green,red and orange 10 led sliders.
This will be a great synth to have if you are experienced in ARP Synths thats a plus.”

” Up for sale is my Oberheim Matrix-6. This synth is in great condition. All keys play as they should, velocity and after touch function properly. The membrane keys all work as well as all sliders. I’ve recently cleaned the key bed and contacts to ensure it plays with the expression it was made to. It does have some minor wear and tear, but nothing beyond what you’d expect from an almost 40 year old synth. It also has custom wood side panels to give it a unique look.
