“For sale is my Oberheim Matrix-6. This synth is in great condition. All keys play as they should, velocity and release velocity, (you can modulate parameters by how quickly you release keys), function properly. The membrane keys all work as well as all sliders. It does have some minor wear and tear, but nothing beyond what you’d expect from an almost 40 year old synth. It also has tauntek’s eprom upgrade from version 2.13 to version 2.14 for faster MIDI parameter changes. Version 2.13 is included in a static free bag taped inside the synth. I really really like this synth a lot, but I just don’t play it as much as I used to, and I’m downsizing my studio.
This is a great way to get that famous Oberheim sound without dishing out 5k on an Xpander or OB-8. I’ve owned it for the past several years in my studio (smoke free) and never gigged with it. If you’re not familiar with this synth you can read about it on vintagesynth.com. There are also some great editors for the Matrix-6 online for loading a large assortment of banks and editing parameters.”
