# Moog Satellite Project Machine

Moog, Satellite @ 07 July 2014

“Selling my rare and hard to come by Moog Satellite.

Bought it as a collector’s item with the intention of making it fully operational.

I no longer have the time to attend to the synths I have and am therefore selling this one and hoping to find an enthusiast for it.

The electronics are actually fairly simple inside this unit, again just don’t have the time, plus it will give pleasure to someone else to bring it back to life.

Synth description:

It’s a single-vco monophonic preset synthesizer.

Preset sounds:

Brass Voices – Mute & Open

Reed Voices – Thin, Hollow, Full & Bright

String Voices – Bow, Pluck, Strike & Pick

Others – Bell & Lunar

The 37-note keyboard is slim and presets are selected from the clunky flip-switches just below the keyboard.

Left hand performance controls offer modulation, pitch bend and filter sweeps. It has been used by Vangelis [not this one… well maybe, who knows HaHa].

Only one sound appear to work and that is Mute Brass, although this in itself appears muffled.

The overall physical condition of this synth is actually really good especially since it is now over 40 years old!

Only physical defects are on some of the front panel Flip switches [early brittle plastic] as depicted in photographs.

The mains switch was non-functional when I got the synth and have just hardwired in the meantime, and therefore a new DPST mains switch to suit will be required.” Click here to visit listing on eBay
