# Moog Minimoog Model D with Moog 1150 Ribbon Controller

1150, Minimoog, Moog @ 08 October 2012

“Yep, this is it. This is the real thing, in all its 1974 analog glory. I reeeally hate to part with it, but life-changes force sale. It’s not perfect. I have uploaded very good photos, so look for yourself. You probably know the whole Minimoog story, but this instrument is truly unique with its Model 1150 Ribbon Controller. Fluid expression offers endless possibilities, again not even remotely digital. Still sounds amazing, and everything seems to work. But it really needs cleaning and calibration, and my heart’s just not in it. Its just been sitting, un-played for a long time. So, a bargain priced deal for you. For some reason the adhesive on all the labels got gooey, and the plates have slipped position. It’s also missing some of the feet, see bottom photo 12. Serial number 7519. Includes the original manual along with the Warranty Registration card (!) unfilled out. I don’t think it’s under warranty…after 38 years. I’m not the original owner, but have owned it for many years. I never took it out of my studio, but has some signs of wear and tear from the prior owner. If you are looking for some kind of mint condition Mini, one that you can play a gig right out of the box, keep looking. I see there are available keyboard bushing kits, and key contact cleaning that will probably do wonders. Some of the white keys are yellow-ish with age, and some more than others. You can bet changing power supply capacitors may help with overall thermal stability. On the other hand, maybe you’ll like it this way. It can be unpredictable like no virtual synth can even dream. I tell you, play a low key with the oscillators just out of sync, and sweep the LP filter with the Ribbon controller through a tube amp, and oh my, oh my. Oh. My. Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about. Will be professionally packed, double boxed, and shipped. ” Click here to visit listing on eBay
