“What can I say? It’s a great machine, especially if you like that clean 80’s sound. It is super capable of whatever wacky modified FM synthesis sound you want if you modify the settings. That’s pretty involved, but I printed out the manual for you so have at it. It does not come with the power cable, you can get one online or use batteries – I used a universal adaptor and it worked fine.

It is in pretty nice shape. I wouldn’t put it in a museum, but maybe I would if it’s the last one. There are no deep scratches, just surface stuff and wear from normal use.

Did I mention that it’s designed to use with a strap? Fulfill your rock star dreams like never before! They conveniently put the modulation and pitch wheel so you can use them while tearing up all 49 keys, or even just a couple of well chosen keys specifically chosen for your application. “Hey guys, on offer here is my broken DX100.
You get what is shown in the pictures. There is no AC Adapter included.
I had my technicians try to repair it, but it was not successful. As you can see, 5 of the IC’s have been replaced with sockets and new chips.
You get all the original IC chips and the new ones I had replaced, including the DX-100 ROM and the 2 RAM memory chips, and a couple others.
I will ship it with four of the back screws installed, but all of the rest of the screws in a bag.
Hope someone can get this working, the display was showing garbage. Sometimes it could make sounds, but not stable. The power on self check was
showing cassette error, so I had focused on replacing the chips related to that circuitry, but no luck.
And I did replace the battery attached to wires now, as shown.
Cosmetically, the unit is pretty clean, as I was the single owner.

PLEASE NOTE that this synth has a short in the DC adapter connection. If you push down once on the connection just slightly, it maintains power without a problem even while playing vigorously. It has been this way for many years and has always worked (but buyer beware, of course).

I have not tested the battery power but there is some rust residue in this area.

Volume slider is a little crackly when used but crackle stops as soon as the slider is left in a position. “I DO NOT have a power supply – I used some new “C” batteries. – When staring up – it indicates “CNG RAM BATTERY” – when I select different instrument / sounds it seems to work. – I plugged a pair of headphones (I do not have a amp any more) and it seems to work – Otherwise the rest is untested – not sure how all the functions / features work (it’s been a long time – I am the original owner). – in the original box (box has some dings / light punctures and the tape on the bottom was coming loose, so I put some packing tap on the seam)” Click here to search for synths on eBay

“This DX 100 was used in a classroom setting, there is some scratches and engravings on the body, as well as some sticker residue that I have tried my best to remove.
