You are viewing a Roland D-50 being sold AS-IS or for PARTS.

Here is what I know: I purchased unit on eBay two years ago, wanting a vintage D-50. The unit worked perfectly on arrival and for about six months afterward. Then the unit would only play sounds on key release. This problem is known and usually is indicative of a bad keyscan board or connection to it. If you are handy with electronics, it may be an easy fix if you can track down the parts. I have searched for months here looking for a complete keyscan board to no avail.

The unit was cleaned (previous owner had two-sided foam tape and stickers all over unit) and was working perfectly. Keyboard itself feels Roland-luxurious as original. No dents/dings in the chassis, however there are missing screws on the bottom panel (indicating it was serviced before) and the rubber feet/screws are missing.

The unit DOES play perfectly via MIDI, is capable of sending/receiving sysex, all buttons are functioning as well as MIDI in/out/thru. All audio/phone outputs working. Display is about 70% brightness from new, no bad elements on LCD. Joystick functions perfectly. Sound (via MIDI) is original quality.

” You are looking at a Roland MKS80 Super Jupiter and the MPG80 programmer. I purchased this synth in 1987 and have owned it ever since.
At that time I had finished a touring music career and was beginning a career in film scoring and theater sound design. This synth has never been gigged live. It has been used in a number of my small home studios over the years only. I used the synth for my work for about nine years until about 1996 when I completely stopped making music and started a small business. The synth sat unused in a box until about 2012 when I began to dabble in music again. It basically sat unused for 16 years.
I have just replaced the dust protectors for all of the sliders in the MPG-80 and completely cleaned the sliders internally as well as the PC board. It is like new at this point. The new dust protectors are a bit stiff and will eventually wear in. You can feel the fibers of the material rubbing against the slider shafts, but the actual sliders are extremely smooth and function like new. They were completely tested before replacing the dust protectors. The manufacturer of the dust protectors assured me that the material will wear in with some use. It’s rare to find an MKS80 and MPG-80 combination with this kind of low mileage on it.
The current pandemic situation has left me no choice but to sell some of my equipment in order to pay the bills.
I will include all of the factory racking hardware for both the MKS80, and the MPG-80, the original user manual (both the MKS80 & MPG80), the C64-C memory cartridge, and the original programmer DIN cable that connects the MKS80 with the MPG-80.

“Vintage 1970’s ElectroComp EML-200 Modular Synthesizer, in blue.

EML 200 is keyboard-less, making it more like an Expander module designed to interface directly with other EML equipment. Most notably, with the Model 300 manual controller which offered a 4×4 key matrix, pitch knobs, and an oscillator with envelope generator and VCA of its own. Today, you can use the 200 with analog synths other than EML with the properly modified CV/Gate connections and converters (its oscillators are a non-standard 1.20v/oct).

It does power up and the red power light is on in the pictures.

Overall in very good shape, with some scratches on the sides and back panel.

I did have them checked out, and had the necessary repairs\cleaning done to make them functional.

The unit was cleaned and tested. All the jacks, connections, and potenciometers were cleaned and checked.(Per the repair technician)

In excellent condition.For it’s age it looks really really good.You wont find one better looking than this!!
It has never been gigged and has just been used in my studio.
It has developed a problem which is quite an easy fix if you know what your doing or want to get it serviced.

The synth was working perfectly a few days ago and the next day i turned it on and all the sounds had vanished.There are still sounds but not what i would call useable.

“ARP 2600 Model 2601 Synthesizer for sale. This unit is one of if not the nicest black and orange 2600s we’ve seen. We bought it from someone who owned it since it was new. He rarely used it, and this is quite obvious from looking at it. (See photos)

One of the other 2600s we’re selling is also here on ebay for a fraction of this one’s price, so if you’re not looking for a 2600 in museum quality condition, you may be interested in that one instead. It received the same meticulous electronic restoration and future-proofing we’ve been doing to our 2600s for a long time now.

This unit was disassembled, cleaned inside and out, meticulously serviced AND FUTURE-PROOFED and fully and repeatedly tested by vintage synth specialists with decades of experience (us). This process required 31 hours of skilled labor. The result is an ARP 2601 that is much better than the rest.

This unit is working perfect, is ready to play, and will hopefully outlast all others.

In addition to any repairs, we did the following work to this unit:

-Fully disassembled, cleaned inside and out.
-Power supply rebuilt: new capacitors and trimpots.
-All tantalum capacitors replaced (these are a common source of failure in ARPs).
-ARP typically installed rubber gromets in between the reverb tank and wooden enclosure of their 2600s. For some reason, there were no gromets installed in this unit, so we installed new ones.
-All sliders and switches cleaned and lubricated.
-Molex connector terminals replaced for better connection.
-Keyboard fully rebuilt: removed and cleaned all keys, cleaned J-wires, removed and cleaned bus bars, replaced rubber bushings.
-Replaced Cinch-Jones keyboard connector socket.
-Recalibrated.
-Replaced some metal hardware (screws, jack nut, etc).
-Burn in test.
-Multiple systematic tests of all functions.

Earlier revisions of the 2600 are notorious for having their modules sealed in black epoxy. This late version 2601’s circuits are all open, so if a component ever goes bad, repair should be easy.

Apart from a little rust on the metal hardware on the outside of the case (which we see a lot) and 1 or 2 tiny imperfections, we feel this unit looks immaculate. But please take a good look at the many detailed pictures posted here to see for yourself. “Roland JD 800. Condition is Used. Collection in person only.

My beloved JD800 in need of some love.

Although it turns on, patches and memory intact and is perfectly useable as a sound module, 13 keys are not working. 2 are sticky and the rest are in responsive. It most likely needs a new contact strip or such like.

I’ve run the diagnostic test and all faders work fluidly with exception to the cut off that jumps in increments of 10. Most likely needs a good clean!

There’s a low mains hum from the outputs not uncommon for a synth this age (I bought it in 1996) it’s never bothered me and never been noticed on any recordings.

These machines when services go from £900 + so could be a great project for someone willing to rework the keys and cut off slider. Otherwise a great board for that authentic 90’s sound or worth sampling!

It’s a very heavy beast so please come and collect it!”

“down sizing my studio and selling my Roland System 100 Model 101.

It is a 70s era roland mono, it is crucial part of the system 100 series. It has 1/8″ jacks to integrate it with the rest of the system 100, but it also works great with eurorack modular equipment (which is what i was using it for), an excellent way to add a 70s era roland oscillator and filter to a new modern eurorack system.

It is in great working condition, I repaired an issue with the headphone jack and filter, and fully calibrated it, and cleaned the bus bar for the keybed.

Cosmetically it is in decent condition for its age.

It will be shipped in a custom metal hard case.

Everything works 100% but because of the nature of vintage synthesizers and shipping, I can not be responsible if anything happens during shipping, so therefore it is sold as is.”

“This is really cool Vintage Yamaha SY77 Synthesizer Music Workstation Keyboard. It was well used but everything works great. There are normal light finish wear scuffs. The only real issue is one of the white keys sticks up a little more than the rest because when the key is pressed and springs back up, the position stop must be off or not functioning correctly, but it and all other keys work great. “Sequential Circuits Pro-One 80’s Vintage Monophonic Synthesiser. Condition is Used.
This very nice example of the classic synthesizer comes with a bound copy of the user manual from the USA. The synthesizer has been fully serviced by Cyberwave EMS this month and the JWire keyboard fully re-bushed. It has a few signs of minor wear on a few keys and minor scratches and scuffs on the underside and side wooden planels but nothing that can’t be repaired or rectified.
It is fully functional and plays to full specifications. It is a really lovely instrument and will last year’s to come having been thoroughly cleaned internally and externally with a full professional service.
A good investment and very nice instrument.

“Yamaha SY77 61-Key Synthesizer – Vintage 1980s Sounds

Note: Available for collection only due to weight. It is very heavy. Item located in Leeds but can deliver within a 50 miles radius of Leeds for petrol cost.

Okay, the bad first:
– The D# on the first octave is stuck. It can be lifted by hand so it is not playing the note, but it will fall back down if let go. It will need a replacement key (can find for cheap on eBay).
– It crackles on playback more often than not. It occasionally plays nice, but don’t expect this to last for long. I suspect this may be the battery that needs replacing (common issue with these units). But I may be completely wrong. I don’t want to mislead, and it could just as much be a chip issue.
– I don’t know if the floppy drive works as I have no means of testing it.
– The rotating selection dial is wobbly and loose, but does still work.
– The text on the SHIFT, F6, F7, F8, EXIT buttons are faded due to use.
– The casing is quite heavily scuffed on all sides so please inspect the photos. It hadn’t been particularly well looked after by the previous owner.
– All its nooks and crannies need a good clean. I’ve given it a wipe down, but could still do with a bit of TLC.
– And not quite a ‘bad’, but it retains its original LCD screen which is fully working and functioning, but you may prefer to upgrade it to a newer brighter one.”
