“For Sale/Auction is the Sequential Circuits Six Trak, 6 voice analog poly synth. This particular unit is in good shape for an instrument of it’s age. There are small signs of wear and tear, some scratches in the wood end cheeks, and a few dings on the metal exterior. The main volume pot does have a slight scratch to it, although I’m trying to clean that up before it ships. Also, the previous owner did a repair to the main tune knob, it’s either glued in place in a neutral tuning, or hard to move. This does not affect the synth whatsoever, merely mentioning it for the sake of honesty. Aside from these issues, the synth is working 100% normally, to the best of my knowledge. “Vintage Sequential Circuits SIX TRAK 6 , Analog Synthesizer with case! In very good cosmetic condition, but I cannot figure out how it all works. I have made patches and sometimes it stores them and sometimes not. Also cannot figure out how the sequencer works. All keys seem to work fine and I have been able to make some really nice sounds from string synth to weirdo harsh stuff. Maybe it has issues or maybe I just can’t figure it all out?
Thus selling as-is, no returns for less than market value. Case is an excellent fit and will make the shipping secure, but expensive.”

“This sale is in aid of my local Hospice Thrift Store, where I volunteer working on electronics. I sell items here for the store that don’t readily sell in house, alongside my normal vintage audio business.

Along with the more routine items that the generous donors contribute is the occasional gem and this is a fine example, a Sequential Circuits Six-trak.

I’ve occasionally dealt in synthesizers over the years but never had the pleasure of checking out an analog synth of this level. Fortunately the manual is available on line and I’ve checked every control and display, checking tuning, level controls, polyphonics, parameter change (I had a lot of fun with the glide parameter set to max and the arpeggiator), recording and playback, including getting two tracks recorded and playing back simultaneously. Audio output was clean.

I haven’t checked the midi functionality and offer no warranty in that respect, however you may draw the conclusion that a full check out as noted above makes that low risk. If you are local, I’d be happy to arrange for you to check out midi yourself BEFORE purchase.

This will be shipped carefully packed using closed cell foam (not expanded polystyrene) to secure and protect the keyboard.”

“Sequential Circuits Six-Trak Synthesizer w/ OSC Output Mod/New Firmware/Battery. Condition is Used.

Six-Trak synth in solid physical condition. Everything works, plays and sounds great. The battery has been replaced and all contacts have been cleaned. Surface marks & scratches are visible, and the mod wheel has a crack going across the surface. Please see photos. This does not affect playback or use.

The inside is a small DIY mess of wires and breadboards to make the separate outputs possible. If this is a concern, message me and I can open it for photos. There is some floor noise when using the separate outputs with quieter sounds, but a gate worked fine.

The mod output with a stacked & detuned unison really makes this synth unique and one of a kind. Unfortunately for me I’m moving and need to limit what I can bring.”

This item is a vintage synth – was the first synth to feature midi – and as such has some scuffs to the paint and a chip to the side panel as shown. As a vintage synth be aware the tuning can also drift slightly, however this can be calibrated. Overall the synth sounds great, selling due to underuse. ”

“Sequential Circuits Six-Trak. 240v VCO synth. Plays perfectly. No audio problems that I could find. On the left-side wooden panel, it has cracked where the screw is and has been re-glued back on. Barely noticeable, but could come off again during transport. Also, the transformer emits an audible hum from the transformer. Not a biggy, but FYI. Defintely sold as is with any and all issues.”

Bought it from my friend a few years back as it needed some TLC and he wasn’t using it, so took it to Synth Prof (synthprof.com) for a full MOT and UK mains conversion, which cost £225 around 2 years ago (if you need specific details of the work that was done I can email Andrew at Synth Prof for more info).

“PHYSICAL CONDITION: Good – There is a 4″ strip of wood missing from the top part of the right side panel. There are light scratches and scuffs all along the sides of this synth. All the LEDs light up as they should. All the pots rotate nicely. The master volume pot/knob wiggles slightly from side to side compared to the other knobs. All the push button feel good and the I/O jacks on the back are solid. The keybed’s fast, light action feels great and the keys are level with each other. All the keys are fully intact with no major chips or cracks to speak of except for the Bb/A# key to the left of the middle C which has an extremely small blemish near the middle. The power cord is in great shape with no tears to speak of. Overall, this synthesizer is in good physical condition WORKING CONDITION: Excellent – Works like a champ!
