Everything seems to work alright, all the keys work, membrane buttons all work although 9-16 seemed to need a firm press and the pitch bend wheel is a bit loose (still works in all 3 directions though) but the case looks good and generally solid. -It is a characteristic of old synths, but it may cause a panic (some keys keep ringing if the sustain is long). Press the keys of 7 or more notes at the same time to return. It is not abnormal.

It has preset patches as well as an internal memory bank, and can be expanded further with a m-16c (not included)

It comes as shown – with regular IEC C13 power cord. No manual. Nice overall cosmetic condition.

The key contacts have recently been professionally cleaned as well – a plus for this model.

“Roland JX-8P Vintage Analog Synthesizer. Condition is Used. All keys and buttons/sounds function as they should. All of the audio outputs work. Wasn’t able to test the sustain pedal or the midi function, and I couldn’t figure out what the aftertouch did. Very solid build, made in Japan. “Appearance is decent but there are scrapes, scratches, and discoloration. There are also some velcro bits and other schmutz from 30+ years of life. Biggest appearance issue is a cracked cartridge blister button (see photos).

Also a common problem is the Aftertouch. This one is working but with reduced effect & there is a mod online to increase the depth with a simple component change.

Restored endcap internal fastener channels. (The end cap plastic screw channels on most of these is old and cracks, because people over tighten them. They are mostly cosmetic and not structural. I rebuilt them with CA , new hard plastic channels and Marine Epoxy- please send me any questions)

The outside of the custom flight case is a bit rough, but the foam inside is still fine, and the keyboard fits snug. Brand new rubber feet installed.
