“THIS AUCTION IS FOR A VINTAGE ROLAND JUNO 6 SYNTH. THIS DOES WORK I AM NO EXPERT ON THESE BUT ALL KEYS WORK. THE ARPEGGIO WORKS AS WELL AS THE OCTAVE AND THE BENDER. ALL OTHER FUNCTIONS ALSO SEEM TO WORK BUT LIKE I SAID I AM NO EXPERT SO I CANT GUARANTEE IT WORKS LIKE IT SHOULD. THE VOLUME CONTROL IS A LITTLE SCRATCHY WHEN TURNED SO IT WILL NEED TO BE CLEANED. THIS DOES HAVE SOME SCRATCHES AND SCUFFS AS SEEN IN PICS. THE GROUND PRONG ON THE CORD HAS BEEN REMOVED SO THAT WILL NEED TO BE ADDRESSED. ***IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE (refer to photos)***:

– There are numerous scratches on the case. Generally small, but a larger one as seen in the ARPEGGIO section.

– A chip in one of the keys.

– The end-cheek veneers have a few small digs, and has the potential to lift along their bottom edges.

– CHORUS setting 1 LED is intermittent (I believe this is down to a dry joint). Has been like this since purchase.

“Up for sale is our Classic and so Sweet Juno 6.

The original juno 6 is known to many as the best of the Juno series. There’s something different about the oscillators and filter i believe. We, at one point, compared it to a Juno 60 and a Juno 106. The original 6 had a slightly bigger and beefier sound than that of the 60 (although the 60 offered patch recall). The 106 was the smoothest but lacked the “attitude” of the 6. For these reasons we have kept and used this Juno 6 for years and used it on many recordings. It has always deliver the BEST of the juno sound.

This Juno 6 is in great condition. ALL keys work, Its in tune, ALL buttons work, all jacks work. Plus it looks great for its age. The only issues to note for full disclosure are while all sliders on the main panel work.. some are a little stiffer than others. But they all work. Also, in the area of the pitch wheel.. the filter assignment to the pitch wheel seems to have no effect. Not sure if we are doing it right : ) or if that fader has issues.

BTW, The pics show a missing fader cap on the pitch wheel area, we have found it, so it WILL be included : )”

This is the predecessor to the Roland Juno 60 which has memory.

It is a great sounding synth and it doesn’t take long to find that sweet spot.

You would have heard it on countless records in the 80’s.

The synth itself is in good working order.

Its had new edging as the original edging was half missing but other than that it’s in good condition for it’s age.

This the 240v version and and has a kettle lead port. I will provide a kettle lead as well.”

“This Juno 6 is in good condition and fully functional. The faders will require some maintenance, as they are very stiff, and a few can generate crackling sounds when being moved. However, the faders do all work properly, as do the buttons, knobs, and switches. Keys are in excellent condition and play nicely. Sound is strong, clear, and powerful. It is a joy to play even with the stiff faders.

Has some dings on the wood end panels, and some light scuffs here and there, but is overall in very good physical condition.

“- There are a number of chips in the wood (See in pictures).

– Some small sections where the metal has rusted, though nothing too major (See left hand side in pictures).

– The button on the ‘Key Transpose’ function is missing and needs replacing, however it still works when pressed.

– The switcher needs replacing on the ‘Octave Transpose’ function, but the mechanism underneath still works, you just have to stick your finger in to use it.

There is a dent around the Bender wheel and VCF DCO sliders. Does not affect any functions.
The Key transpose button is missing. Still functions perfectly
Few sliders have a slight bend but nothing serious, all function great.
The Chorus I & II buttons don’t stay engaged. Only work when pressed and hold down.
Side panels have wear.
All keys function, sounds perform, all other features work great. No sticky keys, no dead keys. No broken keys. The outer casing has surface wear and scratches. The juno will be professionally packaged. ”

“Vintage Roland Juno 6 Analog Synthesizer w/ soft zippered case. All pictures are of the exact Juno 6 you will receive. This item was purchased as part of a large estate sale and I have no idea of the history. I have done my best to test this item, but I am not a musician so my tests are by no means a representation that it works perfectly. I wanted to do as much testing as possible to ensure I am not selling a 45 pound paper weight!

The first thing I did was plug the unit in to make sure it powers on, which it does. Then I brought it to my local music store for testing. They were unfamiliar with it and were unable to test the item. I brought it home and found some videos on you tube of a gentleman testing a Juno 6. In his tests he completes a Pad/String Test, a Arpeggio test, and a synthesizer test. I did my best to follow along with the tests on this unit and the sounds coming from this keyboard were similar to the ones on the video. In my opinion it passed the tests. Some of the knobs did seem dirty, as there was a slight delay in the effect being heard, although with some wiggling of the adjuster, it worked fine.

Also, I do not have speakers so all tests were conducted using the headphones plugged into the rear headphone port.

There are some bumps and bruises on the sides of the wood grain vinyl. The toggle joystick has broken off. There are some scuffs and scratches on the unit and a small spot of surface rust or corrosion that can be seen in the pictures. Also, one of the plastic knob covers is missing. The item will be shipped responsibly, within the soft zippered case and securely packaged. ”
