“Roland Juno-106 Programmable Polyphonic Synthesizer. Serial # 578039. Working and I would say it is in good to very good condition. I’m not a keyboard player, I am a buyer/seller and I have acquired this through an estate sale type situation. I wasn’t able to talk to the original owner about it. I have tested most of the functions to the best of my ability, and it’s so cool I almost wanted to keep it. As far as function goes I believe it is 100% -although I do not know enough about it to be able to test all functions. I have not opened the unit for inspection, so I’m not sure how much dust etc. might be inside. It has some cosmetic defects, most notable being a hole in one of the keys as shown in one close up photograph. All keys work and this hole in the one key does not affect playability. How this might’ve happened is beyond my comprehension. There are scratches and little chips here and there on the face but overall it is in pretty good condition. I suggest expanding the photographs to see finer details.”

“Roland Juno-106 Synthesizer. Condition is Used. “Works very well. In need of refurbishment. Needs new bender wheel, 2 slider/fader knobs and the LED screen that sits over the bank/patch number selector. Also has a splotch of white paint on the body and a bit on one black key that I’m sure could be removed. According to the serial number (525564) this unit was manufactured in November 1976. This unit has been great for my own productions . it played a key role in my first four or five albums produced between 1999-2005. I need to part with it now for money reasons. Since the synth works great I’m not listing this as parts only but perhaps it should be listed like this? Not sure and I’m open to discuss.” This was previous sellers description. “Absolutely gorgeous Roland Juno 106. My name is Jimi Matrix. I play in Z:N. We have gone by Zenith:Nadir as well. I would say half of our songs included this synth legend. I have recently dolled it up by including Tamo Japanese hardwood. No need to worry I have the original pieces included as well (with the original screws). All the voices work great on this synth. There is a slight dent (pictured) and the underbelly looks like it has seen a few gigs or two prior to our ownership! “Here is my Roland Juno-106. It’s in mint condition, mainly because when I bought it in 94, it’s been in its case and kept in a closet. Rarely ever played. Which is a shame, I know. I’ll be posting more, and better pictures soon. This is only available for local pickup, sorry. However, I would consider driving somewhere to deliver it.
Update: I’ve had it turned on for about two hours now, it works perfectly except that it doesn’t have any of it’s original presets (the blue buttons) due to a dead memory battery. That will need replacing.”

“This is an auction for a superb example of Roland’s programmable polyphonic analogue classic – the Juno 106.

Unlike most of the rough Juno 106’s that appear on eBay, this one has never been gigged, ragdolled around, had beer or fag ash spilled on it etc. It has only ever been used in a professional studio environment. It’s technically sound and cosmetically very clean. I’ve used it on loads of studio recordings for both personal projects and with client projects. It has always sounded fantastic.

I’m reluctantly selling it as i have too many synths and not enough room in the control room to swing a cat. I’d ideally like it to go to a good home where it will be enjoyed as much as i’ve enjoyed it.”

“Great condition and priced to sell. I had this shipped from Japan 10 years ago. 110v model requires a step down converter. This one has had 2 replacement VCA/VCF chips around about 2 years after the time I bought it. After I replaced the chips I had the remaining 4 stripped of their silicone to prevent them degrading in the future. 8 years down the line and it’s still running fantastic. Wonderful, fully-operational analogue synthesizer. Built in 83/84 in Japan.

I have only used this synth a couple of times for studio use. I have had the electronics checked by Gee Electronics in Warrington in May of this year. I also had it checked over by Manchester Pro Audio only 2 days ago, and it is in fantastic working condition. Every button, switch and dial working as it should too.

Powers up, lights up, but about half of the keys make no sound at all. Also, the circuit board, or whatever it is that some of the top buttons are attached to has come loose, or has a broken tab on one side, as some of the control buttons are not flush with the others. Two of the plastic keys are broken and will need replacing, and two of the slider caps are missing. Otherwise, in decent physical condition. ”

“This is the real deal. A vintage Juno 106 synth. Heard on countless pop recordings in the last decade as pop producers dove into the thick 80’s synths. All the knobs and sliders are there and all work. The Voice chip 6 needs servicing. It works sometimes then decides not to work other times. Ive seen repair services go for $150 on here. The other note is the very highest key is cracked. Ive included a youtube link to show that everything works as I have described it. I just pulled it from my closet for the first tie in awhile. It seems as if all my presets were deleted. Not sure if thats an internal battery issue or what.”

“For your consideration is an original, vintage Roland Juno 106 synth. A classic piece from 1984 which is heard on many famous recordings. The sounds it makes are just as relevant today as they were 35 years ago. This item is in original, working but unrestored condition. We are not experts but all the functions we tried seem to work fine. All of the keys are working and have good action. The sounds produced are warm, fat, beautiful, spooky and downright crazy. The cosmetic condition is very good to near excellent. There are some scratches on two of the black keys that you can only see form certain angles. There is also 1 missing slider control as shown. – All voice chips were replaced. I’m the second owner and I bought this Juno 106 in excellent fully working condition. One of the voice chips stoped working couple of months ago so I replaced all of the voice chips. Very pricey service.

– Internal Replacement Battery and Battery holder was installed. It makes battery change on Juno 106 soldering free! Another modification that was installed to this Juno 106.

– Juno 106 comes with Roland MSQ-100. This is the preferred sequencer for a Juno 106 and is even matched to go with it! It also allows you to MIDI sync your DIN equipped drum machines.

– Juno 106 and MSQ-100 both come with powers supply

– Original manual for Juno 106 is also included.
