OB-1, Oberheim @ 05 April 2011, Comments Off on Oberheim OB-1

“For auction is my Oberheim OB-1 synthesizer.
The synth is in excellent cosmetic condition with minimal wear and tear – no big scratches or gouges.
Functionally, the synth is in excellent condition – everything works as it should. Battery was replaced about 10 years ago and still holds programs.
This is a fantastic sounding mono-synth with 100% discrete analog circuitry – similar to Oberheim’s famous SEM module.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.

” Up for sale is my extremely rare Oberheim OB1 that Ive had serviced and re bushed..its in near mint condition..check the photos

Its BASS sound is the fastest of em all even bigger than the minimoog…the ob1 also sounds very much like arcade video game but greater..plus its bass and lead sounds…as a bonus its the 1st mono synth that you can instanly store patches and even back them up. Itss my best synth Ive used with a vocoder too due to its twin sem oscillators.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.

“After bench test we are unable to get this synth working properly so we are selling it as is for parts. We believe the synth engine works great, the problem is with the keyboard interface Middle G key is sprung. Keyboard only seems to function from lowest C to lowest G#. The “manual” light does not illuminate but otherwise this setting functions fine. Synth isn in VG cosmetic condition as depicted with light scratching top bottom sides. It may have other issues we were unable to detect. ” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.

“This is an early synthesizer from “Oberheim”, and is the ‘OB-1’ model. The unit powers right on, and I really do not have a way to fully test it, and it is sold as is. All of the control knobs have the normal type tension and turn as they should, and the 1-8 control lights on the top left light up when you press them. The synth in very nice condition, with some light type edgewear on the bottom area of the front and the top back edge. The top main display has no heavy type scratches, and only a few tiny and light marks. The wood sides have a little fading in the wood color, and light edgewear on the surrounding plastic moulding. The fuse holder on the back is a little loose, and there is an ID number engraved next to the back model tag. I have taken a number of photos. The serial number is 0021, and it looks to be one of the earlier models that were produced. Measures 31″ by 15″, and stands 5 1/2″ high at the back. ” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.

“I am the original owner of this very well used Analog Monophonic Synthesizer . It will ship in it’s own custom Anvil road case.

It’s a little beat up, but it still sounds great.

Per the photos, you will see that the original modulation lever has been replaced by a knob (still functional). There are also a number of holes drilled in the surface. Way back in the mid eighties, it was part of my live rig. I had the keyboard pulled out of it to use as a remote controller. The holes were drilled to mount a metal plate over the area where the keyboard was. Three years ago, I had it completely overhauled, a broken key repaired battery replaced, and then put back together by a professional synthesizer technician. All knobs, keys, memory locations function perfectly.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
