“Moog Prodigy. Recently serviced. Earlier version modified for CV/Gate, Filter CV, OSC CV, FM (VCO2 to filter). The CV/Gate overrides the keyboard so when you plug into them, the keyboard goes dead. Never been a problem for me (controlling from Keystep Pro, Intellijel Planar2, Engine) but YMMV. “A highly unusual find. The Moog Prodigy 336A was designed by Dr. Robert Moog and produced from 1979 to 1984. Only 11,000 were made. This unit was among the first built –Serial No. 4117. My wife is the original owner. She purchased it new in 1979 and used it for left-hand bass. She takes super good care of her gear. This Prodigy is like new. “All in one piece and works / turns on and sound comes out of it when connected to a speaker – most sounds have been tried , but not all have been tested – hence sold as seen – no returns – selling as parts and in non working order -Even though it does turn on and does work , i cannot say if it is in fully working order or not.

“In great working shape. Sounds amazing and fully functioning. Cosmetically there is wear on the wooden side panels. Has all knobs and slider caps. There is a little blemish by the emphasis knob to one of the white lines.

Most notable is the repaired mod rate potentiometer. There were none available online or even the shafts, so I joined two plastic shafts together with glue and cut a d shape for the knob to fit. 40 Year old 1981 Moog Prodigy.

All original switches and knobs intact and no scuffs or sratches to metal casing. Wood work is original so has a few marks to varnish but hothing problematic. There is some wear around the filter cutoff knob and slight discolouration to the pitch bend and mod wheels.

It has Gate, Pitch and cutoff mod accesible on the back panel and comes with a custom hard flight case with lift off lid. It also comes with the original manual and schematics, both of which are in great conidtion.

“Emigration forces very reluctant sale of my much loved Moog Prodigy. I’ve owned it since 1988, it has been serviced a couple times during my ownership but not for a number of years. All the knobs and switches work and she sounds great, but unfortunately the volume knob for Oscillator 1 has broken off – it’s still possible to use this pot and it works but it’s a bit fiddly compared to when the knob was there. Luckily it’s not a knob which is often used as you normally have it set to max. Comes with owners manual which is complete but has some annotations within. I’ll be happy to demonstrate all switches/knobs working by video call to the buyer before posting if desired. “Vintage MOOG Prodigy in storage for 25 years. I powered the unit up and all functions seems to work fine. Produces some very cool sounds. I’m sure it will need a tune-up! Surpisingly no scratchy pots. Very clean. I did not have the key to open the case so I had to pry open the latches.”
