” I have owned this Mini, Serial # 9753 since 1989. It is in need of some work– cleaning and tuning. It was functioning perfectly until a year ago, but the oscillators are not currently working as they should.
Also damage to the right side of the wood casing was repaired when it was serviced by Rogue Music. This has not affected the functionality of the instrument.
It does need work, but not extensive work. This is reflected in the price.”

“Realistic 42-4000 (Moog) Analog Synthesizer MG-1 – MODIFIED + manuals. Condition is Seller refurbished.
Following Modifications have been performed (over $250 in parts alone)
1) Black foam removed
2) Sliders ALL replaced; switches CLEANED
3) RCA Tape Ins/Outs replaced (Left to Right) – 1/4″ Mono Out, 1/8″ CV (.9V / Octave) Out, 1/4″ VCF in, 1/8″ Gate (V-Trig)
NOTE: RCA Jack Board included for sake of completeness
4) Replaced 12V & 15V Voltage regulators with new from Syntaur.com
5) Replaced Power Transistor (Q3) with new from Syntaur.com
6) R2 & R20 resistors changed from 47kOhm to 120kOhm (allows wider / lower tuning of Tone Sources 1 & 2)
7) C19, C20 changed to .22uF (filter adjust more like Minimoog)
8) R88, R89 changed to 47kOhm (filter adjust more like Minimoog)
9) ICs U2009 & U1007 replaced with new from Syntaur.com

” This is a fully functional all original Minimoog Model D from the 1970s. All serious buyers know what these are and what they can do, so there is no need to go into all of that history. It has been recently serviced, although you can hear a bit of mild crackling when engaging a few of the switches, which could be easily rectified with a more extensive cleaning. It does not affect normal playing of the instrument. Some normal cosmetic wear and tear on the wood frame as one would expect on an instrument of this age. Serial # 5017 means this is one of the early BETTER sounding models. Although the later serial numbers have increased oscillator stability, Moog simultaneously made other modifications that changed the sound, which many experts agree was to its sonic detriment. This Minimoog however is stable, which means you’re getting the best sounding version, which is paramount in my opinion. No electronic modifications have been made to this Minimoog (that could cause problems!). The real thing…all original electronic components. Local pickup is of course accepted and will therefore mean no shipping costs in the pricing, however all responsibility lies with the buyer once picked up. “Moog | Realistic Concertmate MG-1 Analog Synthesizer. Condition is Used. This MG-1 is in good working condition , totally checked all toggles and sliders and every thing is working other than a few sliders seem a little stiff compared to the others but does not affect it’s performance as far as sound . some of the slider knobs are cracked and I used mini rubber bands to hold them together and they are replaceable. two sliders knobs are not original. if you look at the picture there is a slight bend on the case in the back bottom but is very minimal. And the reason I am selling is because it’s been in my hallway closet for a few years and I have other interests. VERY GOOD Condition
Um, I LOVE this beautiful machine. I just need some cash and this is the last valuable item I can sell.
As soon as I have the money, I’ll buy another one. It’s a MOOG! And it was sold by Radio Shack!
And the Radio Shack manual refers you to Kraftwerk, Brian Eno and David Byrne, among others.
AND. I’m including the ROSETTA STONE, the Original Manual (a bit tattered) which gives you all the “settings” to create “Footsteps” or “Lasers” or “Talking Robots” or “Drums” or “Clarinet”. Plus, a couple blank pages to mark your own brilliant settings. Seriously, the manual unlocks this machine, even for an amateur — where you can begin with one of these settings and create new sounds modulating off their starting points.
This machine is in Very Good Condition, but note two things on the photos:
1. Six of the sliders are missing their plastic knobs — these are not necessary for performance + can be replaced (buy a dozen!)
2. The Back Right panel plastic has a chip — you would barely notice unless I pointed it out; again, doesn’t effect performance
