Moog Micromoog

“Amazing oscillator and filter plus sample and hold, osc to filter, an audio input, and a pitch bend touch sensor! Micromoogs rule!

The Los Anglees Synthmasters at Rosen Sound restored this beast including key bushings, action, pot cleaning, switched CV to the standard 1v per octave, and s-trig gate jack to 1/4″. This upgrade connects a Micro to other equipment (they were made with .9v/8vo CV).

Also included is a Doepfer MCV4 companion with an AC adapter which hooks up to play/ sequence from MIDI including Mod Wheel and Aftertouch to the filter cutoff! You will need three 1/4″ Y cables to connect it. A perfect combo!

Everything works as it should.”

“Moog Micromoog Vintage Monophonic Analog Synthesizer (Used/Untested).

Condition is Used.

Here we have a vintage analog Synthesizer in the monophonic Moog Micromoog. The unit turns on, but has not been tested for audio. Cosmetically, the unit is more than solid for a Synthesizer of this age. I have a hunch that some service may be required, though minor. You may well luck out also, as everything may ultimately function perfectly. Either way, this is a win-win, as well as a good opportunity to own a much revered piece of Synthesizer history, only customary of Moog products.”

“Up for your consideration today is a extremely nice Micromoog.
This is a late unit built in 1980 and has all the latest revisions and has been fully serviced.
This synth has been taken very good care of and it shows!!
It even has the rare factory dust cover which you don’t see anywhere.

This micromoog is sold AS IS due to age but like all my synths, I do offer customer support.” Click here to search for synths on eBay

Moog Micromoog

“For sale is a late 70s Moog Micromoog, fully functional. This unit was serviced last year with a rebuilt PSU, recap and a couple other bugs fixed. It is in excellent physical condition for its age; the only thing to note is the bottom particle board slab was replaced with plywood as the former was crumbling apart. The keys feel pretty good for the most part, though the new owner may want to change the bushings. The keys all work, though again, this is a vintage Pratt-Read style J-wire keyboard so I suggest the buyer reads up on maintaining a clean buss bar when keys will inevitably lose contact, which is an issue for nearly all vintage synths from this era. ”

Moog Micromoog

“I’ve owned this MicroMoog for around 37 years. Have spent around £500 refurbishing the Moog (via a professional synthesizer service company) in the last 6 months so it is in great working order. It’s in really good condition for its age in terms of appearance too. There is a huge sound palette available though with all sorts of sounds and textures. It is a monophonic synthesizer, featuring 1 variable waveshape voltage-controlled oscillator. It has a -24 dB per octave low-pass filter with envelope generator, a voltage-controlled amplifier, noise generator, sample and hold circuit, low-frequency oscillator, and modulation routing. It has a 32-note keyboard and was one of the first synthesizers to include a built-in ribbon controller, in this instance for pitch bending. The Micromoog has an audio input allowing external audio to be run through the filter and VCA. It also features the Moog Open System control inputs, a pre-MIDI control system which enabled the unit to be controlled by other Moog synthesizers.” Click here to search for synths on eBay

“This synth was briefly tested and works. Pitch and Mod controls work. Several other knobs were used to shape waves and seemed to work as it should. Did not have nearly enough time to fully test this beautiful instrument. Power cord is hardwired. Comes with original instruction manual. ” Click here to search for synths on eBay

Moog Micromoog

” Moog Micromoog in fairly good condition, but needs a little TLC. Cosmetically the top, sides, and back are in excellent shape for its age, with only some minor dings and scratches, but the bottom is scratched and chipped as shown in the pictures. Functionally, it sounds great, all the keys work, and most functions work properly, except for the frequency knob (no response) (but the master tune works fine), and the ribbon controller (no response; broken on one end). Selling as-is and starting the price low for these issues. Includes an original user manual.” Click here to search for synths on eBay

Moog Micromoog

” Moog Micromoog vintage analog monophonic synthesizer, originally manufactured from 1975-1979. Purchased in New Zealand 6 years ago and has had little use since, housed in a smoke-free studio. Its power rating is 115v but has an European plug type, I’m including an adapter to US plug style.

While in good working order and fully functional I’m selling this as is. There are a few notable but repairable issues:
-The particleboard bottom board has deteriorated and needs to be replaced. I assume this is a pretty common issue and see you can buy replacement bottom boards for $40 on Reverb.com.
-The low ‘F’ key is sticking slightly, assuming this is a pretty easy fix.
-There is a missing Oscillator cap.

Also, cosmetically decent but note there are some minor engravings etched into it (see photos).

Had it cleaned up and fixed power supply at Main Drag in Brooklyn in late 2015. ” Click here to search for synths on eBay

” I’m selling my vintage Micromoog that I’ve owned for about 40 years. I’ve used it mostly for left-hand bass and wired in a jack on the bottom to accommodate a Yamaha BP-1 bass pedal unit (13 notes, lower C to one octave up). The keyboard was rebuilt in late 2015 with all new rubber bushings using the proper Dow Corning lubricant. The keyboard action feels like new. The potentiometers and switches were cleaned at the same time. Everything works as expected and the unit sounds great.

Note the following:
1) The ribbon controller has a small tear near the bottom as can be seen in the photos, but it works fine and doesn’t affect the functionality.
2) The white rectangular area to the left of the Moog logo (on the back) is from an adhesive label I had there at one time. I wasn’t able to get it off with a mild adhesive remover, but a stronger one may work.

Included in the sale is the original “preliminary” operation manual from Moog dated July 1975, a Micromoog operation manual by Tom Rhea, some extra rubber keyboard bushings and a like-new Gator case. Will sell and ship to continental US only.”

“Moog synth from late seventies in good condition these were built to last and this one has been well taken care of. This is a monophonic single oscillator synth with sub oscillator, LFO, variable waveshape, control input, audio input, etc. Oh yes and the filter is amazing.”

“I have owned this Moog for 10 years and treated it with love. It has mostly stayed inside my home during that time. I am including a soft Moog case that helps protect it at home, however I would recommend buying a hard case if traveling with it.

It will need to be tuned. Outside of that, it’s in great shape.” Click here to search for synths on eBay
