“Used condition and mostly untested. Battery needs replaced according to the the boot screen (see pics). In program mode things sound strange, but plays perfectly fine in setup mode. It was pretty dusty when I got it. Headphone jack and MIDI In both work but other inputs/outputs could not be tested. Sold As Is. “This is for a Kurzweil K2000R Rack Mount Synthesizer in working condition. I’ve connected it to my K2000 via MIDI and it works as expected. I would love to keep it for the extra sounds and features, but decided to stick with a 2-tier synth setup instead of having one MIDI controlled.

AA Battery compartment is clean, but it will not ship with batteries installed. You will need three fresh AA batteries to install in the rear battery compartment (I recommend Duracell). If you haven’t done it, it’s super-easy – just turn the cap with a coin, pop 3 batteries in, recap, and turn the cap back and you’re done. Also it will not ship with a power cord, but you (like most people) may have several of these universal 3-prong AC power cords laying around in a drawer or with old computer equipment. They are very very common. If you don’t have one, you can get a short or long one depending on your needs for $10 or less retail. Sorry, but I am in short supply. ”

” A gently used Kurzweil K2000RS from a smoke and pet free home. OS is version 3.87. Unit is fully functional and in near perfect cosmetic condition with only minor scratches from being racked as one would expect. The LCD screen is rather dim but still readable. Unit comes with original manuals and power cord. You would have a difficult time finding a nicer example of this legendary synth/sampler!”

I powered it up and played it for a while the other day and today it does not work. Selling for repair.

I can hear the drive run. I get a disc drive light. I get nothing on the display and no sound.

“This K2000R Sampler Synth Module! It has been used in an orchestrator studio primarily for string sounds! But that is a small bit of the sounds available in this unit. It is multi-timbral and was tested for one track, but outputs work, input for sampling works! It also includes one disk for OS and samples. The knob was missing and replaced with a non-original knob.
